Idea Golden Apple Changes

    Recently, a lot of players have been complaining about the fact that some legit players are being banned for godmode when they just use golden apples. So, let's go through some options.

    Golden Apples:

    Option 1: Abolish them completely. I don't think this is too bad an idea as they are already super rare.
    Option 2: Change the regeneration. At the moment Golden Apples are used for rushing, right? You rush a team of two, they can't hit you so you have five seconds to kill them. This makes it look like godmoding. So I propose that instead, the functions are changed so they are more suited to longer fights where there's lots of shots fired before it's over, not a quick ten second battle. It's powers could be something along the Regeneration IV for 1 minute. I also think it should be more common in chests if this option is implemented.
    Option 3: Keep it with the same powers, but so it doesn't look like godmoding. Basically, right now, if you try to hit someone who's eaten a golden apple, the bullet passes right through. My suggestion is that the bullet does hit the person and it appears they take damage but they don't take any at all. That way you can tell between godmoders, who get bullets passing right through them and Golden Apple eaters who still take damage, it's just so tiny amount, they lose no hearts

    I agree. I have been called for speed hacks countless times because I rushed with barret spas and sugar. The person died instantly, and I got called for hacks so much. Also, I think that golden apples should really just be removed. I mean really, how does it make any sense to be able to be shot in the head with a 50 caliber bullet, and survive by eating an apple? The bullet would literally tear your head off, so the fact that by eating an apple you survive just doesn't make much sense to me.

    Overall, +1 to the idea.

    Well the apple is made of solid gold in which in minecraft terms, pretty much unicorn blood. Yes, the world of WarZ has a little bit of magic in it.

    That may be true but I think it should be abolished or changes because the more super-rare items that are really good there are, the more luck-based the game becomes. I think all good games should have an element of luck but it's just really annoying if a noob walks into nether, finds an ak-47 and ammo and a golden apple, then goes a kills a Full Diamond way more skilled than him because he was untouchable for ~5 Seconds.

    I fully agree with this. I actually have found some myself but never ate them because they were too precious to lose.

    But if you never use them, doesn't their worth become nothing?


    Think on that.......

    I use them if I'm fighting a really hard battle like a team of two full diamonds or @LuckyPop in leather :stuck_out_tongue:

    I didn't even know this was their effect... Shows how rarely I have eaten one. I thought it just gave you OP regeneration but you could still be one shot etc.
    They should just stay as they are due to the fact they are a really rare item.

    But.. With godmode you can't hurt other players?

    That's what I thought, right?

    And for option 3, You're basically saying give them resistance 4?

    And Ive died in snow once a second after I ate a gapple. Like 2 months back.

    This is true and I agree I almost got banned for using an Budder Apple and then Chris came and fixed out everything. But if they still did get nerfed they would be useless to use and get then everyone will have budder apples and no one would die

    I think it's obvious to tell godmode from gapples. With gapples, you can still be hit and take damage from bullets, even though you regenerate instantly. When a player is using godmode, they're basically in Creative and won't be fazed by bullets. Honestly, too many players confuse godmode for regeneration.

    Da hell, regeneration IV is just as OP as invicibility, and for one minute, #TAKEOUTLUCKYPOP5TIMESOVER :stuck_out_tongue: Although it would be fun :grinning:. Maybe 10 seconds? Or just as a regular Notch Apple in Vanila.
