Away Gonna be Gone + Something Special

Just letting you guys know that I'm going to leave for a two week vacation just like last year. I'm won't be able to forum stalk as much and I won't be on the servers or Steam at all, etc.

I also make this thread for another reason, that being that today is the anniversary of this little bugger. Today was when ol' Mitchell accepted my application. I don't really want to get too into this subject, mainly since I have a whole bunch of thoughts put into my About Me, but I thought I'd just mention what will happen to me in regards to becoming staff again in the future. This is especially because I didn't even make a proper thread when I got demoted.

Shortly put, I am never going to apply for staff here again. Ever. This is because of the reason I was demoted in the first place, my TS3 activity and all that. Since that part of the community wasn't even considered in applications back then, I was accepted just fine, but I never used that program. I absolutely hate to use TS3. It's not a problem with the program, just I am not the type of person to just talk with people I've never met. I don't like to do that. The times I have been there with groups of people, I don't even get to say much, which is why very few people even heard my voice. I just never enjoyed being on there, so there was no incentive to be on there every day.

And some people might call me stubborn for not changing to do your staff duties. You might be correct on that. But if that is what separates me from being staff or applying again, so be it. No amount of me looking sad or community support is going to make admins ignore the obvious fault I have in the hypothetical application I would submit. I'm more of a person to be with myself playing a game, listening to music or watching a video in the background. And if that's what I'm satisfied doing, then I don't really need to make a change just for staff. Don't be taking this the wrong way. I would still love to help moderate the forums and servers just as strongly as I did a year ago, but that simply isn't going to cut it.

And now I apologize for enlongating this thread into something longer than it ever needed to be, but this is a subject I never fully addressed with the community.

That all being said and done with, I am going to prepare for my Brawl withdrawal, and also as serious, my TF2 withdrawal. Surely this will be fun times for all.

 

Florida for two weeks.
Part of it is visiting family, so the obligatory Disney World part will have to wait a bit.
