Big Issue Threads

    I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the recent stuff going on with Myortvye, many people believe he should be demoted to just Coder. But anyway, the point of this thread isn't to talk about him, what he's done wrong, what he's done right, the point of this thread is to suggest that big issues that divide our community should actually be out in the open rather than little flame wars fought on @LuckyPop's YouTube channel.

    A lot of people (37) do say Myortvye should be demoted, so what are they going to do when they can't actually discuss the issue on the forums? What I'm saying is, there should be a big thread in General Discussion where people can talk about it and the admins can tell them what's going to happen and what they agree with and what they don't. From what I know, people have tried to make flame-ridden threads about Myortvye previously, but they have been deleted.

    It's Team Holy all over again. I'm ashamed to say that I was a big hater of Team Holy and I was consistently raging at all the members. The only thing that actually cured me of my rage and allowed me and my friends to just drop the Team Holy issue is a big conversation in we discussed certain things and by the end of it, I gave up my war on Team Holy.

    The only way we can actually try to move past people being angry about Myortvye is for people to actually have a discussion and we can reach some kind of solution. Flame will happen, yes, but you can just ignore it, if you don't reply to it, it has no power.

    Then perhaps after a week of people stating their minds and making their points, the admins will lock the thread because if you're not convinced either way by then, you probably will never be.

    I realise that this idea may not work, but I think that in a perfect world, it would. So I want feedback so I can know; is McBrawl enough of a perfect world that we can try this?

    Perhaps monthly issues could be addressed in the Brawl News at the end of the month? There could be a quick post on the forums asking the community what they think has been bad / wrong with McBrawl this month, and a couple of the most important suggestions are taken into consideration and addressed in the Brawl news.. just an idea.

    I like Peas idea. I would volunteer to carry out the task myself of creating this newspaper type thread each month with maybe a member of the staff team to help keep it accurate.

    The admins already write the news. This may seem mean, but they'll do a much better than you could do because they are the ones that know everything. You don't. Nothing personal.

    A very wise thought.

    I myself think that people should stop flaming at Myortvye, but at the same time, if anyone has an issue with a staff member, PM Chaploo, and he will deal with it.

    I'd advise talking to signatured / Chickenputty about problems with staff as oppose to contacting Chap, unless your issue is with Sig or Putty :stuck_out_tongue:

    Well, same there.
    I just saw Putty or Signatured somewhere stating that Chap would deal with any issues regarding devs.
    Don't quote me on that though.

    If you contacted chaploo, you'd have to expect a long wait for your response. I'd imagine that he has better things to do then sort out some kids' problems on a server.

    People don't understand what Myortvye does, so they don't understand the perfectly good reasoning for making him an admin, 'nuff said.

    Also, if you look at the thread, most of the Myortvye haters are 12 or under, they don't understand what good he has done for the server and they're looking for an excuse to hate. Even my Tech Ed teacher says we've become weak as a society. Toughen up and deal with him, McBrawl would suck without him.

    I don't see any need to get more people involved in server drama. Things like this should not be broadcasted to the unknowing part of the community and servers. It is better off that those who don't have an idea what is happening stay out of the situation. That's the main reason why Team Holy and Brittan drama blew up.

    Ignorant people just keep trying to join the drama when they have no idea, or have no interest in hearing both sides. Constantly defending against arguments supplied by those people is a waste of time because their statements are so irrelevant.
