A guide to 'OOM'

This thread is mainly towards anybody that is new or somewhat new to War.

What is OOM? Why does this matter so much? First off, OOM stands for 'Out of map', meaning that you're leaving the barriers/walls and doing whatever you do outside of the protected area. The term 'OOM' is also used quite often for over-powered spots that are completely unfair in the game.

Now why is going out of the map such a big deal? First off, you're breaking the rules. If you do this, you'll most likely get reported.
But now what if you didn't know about it? Banned for the first time and not knowing what to do? Contact a War Moderator (or me) for help, preferably a War Moderator.
Now the issue with recoil allowing others to go OOM, don't do this. It'll most likely get you in trouble. I will not explain how but it's really simple doing so. If you do abuse the recoil, you'll most likely get temporary banned.
Edit: (3-8-15) Recoil is fixed, so the 'abusing recoil' is irrelevant.

What if you happen to see a OOM'er but he/she is shifting? Best you can do is get real close and try to get a good enough screenshot, for those who don't know what their screen shot button is, it's the key that you binded it to. If you don't know what that key is, open controls, and see what the screen-shot button is.

TL;DR - Don't abusive the recoil to go out of map, bad things happen.

Unless it's advertised in War, then it has a chance.

 

My bad. But it's any key that you bind it to so it's not always the same..
I did make it a little more easier to understand.

And I don't think screenshotting them and filling out a report will take very long at all.. It's an average 1-3 minutes (or more depending on how long you take).

 

Hmm, well that is true ^^
On maps where it's not possible to get out unless you're shot out, I feel as if it's kinda fine (unless you're abusing it to kill your enemies and or you're out in infect maps).
