Why exactly can't we have wool?

Thank you for being one of the few people here with common sense.

 

I dont have the best memory, (I was around) but im pretty sure some people wanted a nerf. But even so, thats still gameplay, and from what I am seeing the staff want the banner to be the exact same as the wool just a different look. While having it so that if you push someone off a cliff you dont get the kill. People have been asking for that and they seem like they would take the same amount of time.

But then again, I dont care. I simply want to know why it was changed and not somthing that mattered more.

 

While I don't see what all the fuss is about banners, I do see majority of the community wanting wool back. I'll admit that I wanted the banners at first because I thought it was gonna be a cool addition, but seeing as it's kind of buggy as of late, I can understand the community wanting to have the wool back. Alas, Nom doesn't want to revert it so there's very little to be gained by arguing with staff that can't do anything about it.

 

So why not remove the flag timer to make the flag easier to pick up? There are other solutions.

You sir are indeed confident that wool is better than banner when it comes down to this CTF server that I never play on (because children). However, this is just a recent addition is it not? So why don't we give this some time before criticizing the banners and their positives and negatives before concluding our opinions now? I'm assuming banners look more closely to actually flags than blocky wools which in my view actually depicts CTF more as CTF. So please let us be patient and see how far this new thing will go on and if it doesn't work out too well then it'll make sense to remove it!

It's very illogical to conclude that Brawl staff is stubborn and corrupted which many of you McPvp people already did in the past few weeks. Some of us in Brawl know coding and stuff far more than you do so why don't we sit down and think this through. Maintain our temper so that we don't put the bullet deeper into the wound

Again. It's wrong to flame other people through conclusions especially when they are veterans as you were. You guys just moved in like our next door neighbors! You're not a jerk at all EB but most of our community consists of sensitive guys who are either teens or kids so let us be passionate yet efficient towards each other!

How about this. We stop whining and crying about this because the staff here are not going to change it. They never change anything or add players ideas so what makes you think they would do it now?

 

Why no one had a problem? Because everyone was used to the wool. The change forces you to re-think your mindset, which is why I'm seeing a lot of complaining. It's obvious humans (at least most) don't like change, so if the wool was changed to a banner on McPvP, I could guarantee the community would complain just as much.

That may be for him i think, but not me. The banner is ****. It has the smallest hit box, and it blocks projectiles doesn't it? You also loose armor from it. I'm sure all the wool did was, wait, nothing.

Why do that when going back to wool will probably fix everything.

I doubt it. Seriously, if that hit box does't get fixed, nobody will adjust. If we grow better to stand still and take less damage, people will grow better at hitting more and being accurate. It's impossible to be completely still and take the flag when 100 people are hitting u

More professional? My butt. I never saw people playing a professional game of CTF in real life with banners? The banner is in the game already, so I doubt it will be professional soon. The wool though, I have never seen it anywhere else like that. I doubt it.

I am serious when the banner looks more professional, but there's a reason I put the flame shield thing in my post, to have a little bit of a joke with the community. :/

 

Nerfed the aoe of pyro and overall made the class suck. Pyro used to be able to rack up 20 plus kill streaks. I want it to be wool because that's how it was. I don't need some article explaining human nature to me. I liked it how it was and it wasn't glitchy with wool. If anything I think they need to bring back OLD engineer with arrows and structures being able to be put on top of the flag now that was fun. It's dumb that when I have the flag I have a 2 block high banner above my head that glitches out 90% of the time.

I never said I hated the wool, I want it back and I agree with the engineer, but not the structures part. That'd be over the top!

Private messaging is useless because its a 1 on 1 conversation when this is regarding quite a few people. If they aren't gonna pay attention to a thread with a bunch of people commenting on it then PMing is utterly useless.

Either way, Nom wont change it so nothing can be done.
