Why exactly can't we have wool?

Buff. A nerf would make it weaker. You can't block inside a banner, and blocking is the only counter to Assassin's instakill. The fact that an Assassin can't redstone while looking at the flag doesn't matter, the Assassin doesn't have to.

When he said any ability that requires right-clicking, I thought he was referring to the redstone.
I suppose this is what I get for maining a class without a sword.
I knew you could block the assassinate but I forgot...

 

Simply adding banners for professional and aesthetic reasons is beyond me. Not to mention, I thought Brawl was trying to keep CTF as similar as it was on MCPVP, and only changing gameplay after consulting the community? Whether this is wrong or not, there is no doubt that banners change gameplay considerably. All other points of why banners should be removed have already been posted above me, but we are not simply arguing to turn it back due to nostalgia. This is because this changes tons of gameplay to CTF, and most of it is downhill. Gameplay > Aesthetics

I also believe you can't enderpearl. It took me 3 trys before it pearled, and I wasn't lagging, and I'm sure now the time for ninja is like 4 seconds to take the flag.. wtf

Is it just me or does recov stealing occur even more because of banners? It's harder to find and recov on time before someone else does. It also takes a bit longer too.

 

I still prefer recovery stealing over getting killed at the same moment as the flag carrier and having one of his teammates picking up the flag.

 

Another banner update I discovered today:

You can't steak when looking at the banner, or throw a heal pot, meaning ninjas can finish you off before you even can turn away from the flag/run off because of the flag timer, and because you have to be inside the banner to steal it, this means that wherever you look when trying to steal, you can't steak.



Big gameplay flaw imo

It's an issue with the Armor Stand, Nom said he may be able to fix that issue.

 

Can you pearl inside a banner? It feels like my pearls aren't working

 

I'm probably a little late to the party but who cares if banners are new school and wool is old school?
Wool worked back on mcpvp just fine without bugs, glitches, and any controversy.
As the saying goes: If it ain't broke, don't fix it

K, another damn thing wrong with banners is that when you go in double-f5 mode to look behind you when you are running with the flag, the banner gets in the way.
