Idea Have arrows go through teammates?

I think that this should also count for Engi, as it is heavily focussed on the turret + arrows, and can be blocked way more easily than the other classes.

This will make trolling these classes a lot less common and will be very helpful.

I think this would be LOVED! My preferd kit is archer and other team members are VERY annoying with this. +1

I've only played a little bit, but yes, these two classes are incredibly OP. If arrows went through teammates, then an archer could just get one or two heavy friends to stand in front of them while the archer snipes everything.

This would buff archer substantially. You can already just stand next to an elf so arrows can't hit you, but with this you could just stand behind a teammate.

 

What about mage? I always run into my projectiles in the few times that I try it out

 

This, coming from an archer is going to sound very strange, but I think it's better keeping it as it is right now. Whilst archer is not as OP as a lot of people tend to exaggerate, there is no doubt that the two classes need to be changed, and giving them a buff like this is not going to help by any means. What's more is that it makes no sense in reality either, as arrows don't go through your friends in reality!

 

Yes I think it is a possible idea. I find it really annoying when someone runs past me when they break my concentration in trying to aim. +1 for me.

 

Only do this when pyro and Archer get nerfed. They do not need a buff.

+1.. I agree. I find it very very Annoying.

 

I'm gonna say no to this. As an Archer main, I find myself getting lots of kills on enemies who can't see me or I can't see. Letting Archers effectively use teammates as meat shields making themselves almost impossible to counter snipe.

Something that could work is having projectiles penetrate teammates after they fly 15 blocks so they don't get blocked by teammates who are fighting your targets, or having penetrating shots be weaker (e.g. a penetrating Archer shot can't Snipe or the Pyro's arrow won't explode), but having Arrows completely penetrate teammates at any range would be a tad unfair, considering how many projectile classes are already borderline overpowered or annoying to deal with.

Ender Pearls should absolutely pass through teammates though.

 

Although this it's annoying to have a teamate walk in front if you on accident, this shouldn't happen very often at all for archers. Archers are "supposed" (looking at melee archers) to stay back and kill from a distance, generally where it would be difficult for someone to obscure your shot. If people keep walking in front of you, that's just bad positioning on your part. (Not talking specifically about you ghost, )
