    Flag room and spawn a bit plain its ok. Also instead of dirt do a mix of 3,3:1 and 3:2 it looks really kewl.

    Why do I feel like you hate Soldiers? xD On a serious note, nice map. I agree with Sporty about both the aesthetic concerns. In terms of gameplay, it looks good. I'm not sure I like the water holes next to the flag, though. It's too easy to fall in and get killed.

    Is the flag room right next to the spawn? Like just below it or above it, if so kind of a bad idea.
    - Would be better to spawn in that plane and fall out as if you were falling out with a parachute into battle :stuck_out_tongue:

    Hey TWC123,
    My critique:

    As a descriptor, I would have to say your map isn't complete. It almost seems you made the same mistake I did, and tried to rush making the map. What I would do, is go to Color Lovers or Adobe Kuler and try to find blocks that suit you and your map. Then, try to make the best by finding really good compliments. The flag room has a nice structure, but the block choice might confuse people a lot. The cobwebs are really all over the place and aren't exactly uniform, no offense but they look like someone glued a torn up cotton ball onto the top of your map. The exterior flag room could use some cleaning up as well.
    THE ENTIRETY of the spawn room MUST have Lapis/Netherrack on the floor. Not just one space of the room.
    Same for the town, try to get some more detail and bring out the vibrancy of your map.

    Your map has potential, but it's not quite ready to be added to CTF.

    1. The Walls
    They don't contribute to gameplay and take away from the aesthetics of the map. There's no easy way to keep the walls without them impacting gameplay. My suggestion would be to either make them functional, i.e., allow players to get up top and run around on them, similar to Blackout's walls, or remove them entirely.
    2. Flag Room & Spawn Location
    All possible routes into the flag room force would-be flag thieves dangerously close to the defending team's spawn. This is bad because defending players could still have spawn protection, giving them a slight edge in combat. Defenders could also get back to the flag incredibly quickly after being killed, allowing defense to have a pretty strong advantage. ​

    3. Area Behind Spawn
    The wall blocks about 86% of classes from getting to the area behind spawn. The other two, soldier and ninja, would have an easy time of getting back there and camping with the flag. Either remove it or find a way to incorporate the area into the map.

    4. Size
    We encourage CTF maps to be no less than 100 x 100 blocks. Yours is roughly 75 x 200. If CTF maps are too narrow, then it bottlenecks players and makes the game a bit more frustrating to play.
    All in all, I hope you take my suggestions into consideration. Happy map making!

    @Birdgirl i thought that soldiers cant climb a wall which is made by coal. with the ninjas u r right.

    @kfact we tried to make it as much realistic as possible but it is minecraft

    That was my oppinion about the comments. I am not mad about them cause they help us to make our map better so thx :smile:

    Oh and btw @DJ_Math, CTF maps are indeed required to be atleast 100x100. However that's still really small. I would recommend 100x150 or maybe 150x200 to get the most out of your map.
    I had problems with maps being way to small, so I ended up making like a 100x300 map and it turned out fine. (Subzero if you were wondering which one.)

    It's not your fault for being unaware of that, I don't think there is a thread consisting of said CTF Map making rules.

    I know no one told you how big a map had to be. That's why I told you in my previous post. :stuck_out_tongue:

    @Birdgirl so just make the walls higher so that the soldiers cant pass. ok that is good

    @kfact before we started the map we looked for many rules how to make a good ctf map. so now we have this map. we have to wait until we is fixed again or we let it like that.

    @kfact i understand with more details more realistic srry

    Atm @TWC123 and me correcting the map
    i made it a little bit bigger so that twc is able to make some mountains and a very high wall so that no soldier can pass.
    the ninjas will have a problem to reach the glass which will be at the top of the map
    against the spawnprotection we took 2 sponges out which normaly shoot u to the canon of the tank
    hope that will all work
