[CTF] New CTF team?

You've been playing CTF for a long time and you're clearly experienced at playing the game. Understandably you've never lead a CTF team before and so naturally you're going to be inexperienced at the start, and are going to need help in doing it. I'm sure if you were to start up a CTF team, people would definitely join and help you out, so that's not an issue. In terms of if CTF needs another team, well I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people that have been denied from other teams, and with the increase in the size of the brawl community, there'll be plenty of new players wanting to join teams along with the older players. We're gonna need more teams due to the expanded community, so a new team would be quite useful. I myself wouldn't be joining the team, but I'm pretty sure other people would welcome a new team, especially with a veteran CTFer as it's leader

 

I'm not into the team business anymore jut because I don't have the time, so I can't really expressly opinion about this.

honestly, it isn't very difficult to lead a team. TT has been around for over 2 years, mainly under snow's leadership, and in the time that I've led, when snow has been away and for a short while when he left, I've had next to no problems. Being rep is easy too, you do nothing apart from schedule matches which takes like 5 mins.

The hardest part about teams is recruiting imo. So my tip to you would be to get players before you actually create the team, cuz the teams that start at 1/25 generally don't get anywhere. I'd also say set up a council and have a separate skype group, assuming you're using skype, cuz councils are good for getting things decided. Other than that it's common sense really. Don't let anyone do anything stupid and if you are gonna make rules make sure people stick by them, but don't make them too strict cuz then no one will want to join

 

Leading a team is so eZ @duskippy went inactive for laike 2 months and was fine.

 

If you want it make a team, follow your dreams and make one.

Teams are definitely worth it for the ability to play in matches and have your own little CTF family inside the community. If you want to make a team, it's not that difficult, and maintaining it is super easy if you have active players. Get 9 other players and start it up!

Being a team leader and representative isn't a difficult task. As long as you know when to be serious when you need to be serious and are able to connect with your team members, then there should be no problem. @b0b4444_ and I do most of the work over at The Flying Walruses and it's not too bad (though, we dug ourselves into a hole that we are looking to get out of.) For myself, I've led numerous teams and it's fairly easy. Just stay on top of your game and connect with your teammates.

It can't hurt to try it out.

 

Seems to me if you want to make a good team don't be a dickhead and online a lot (funny I should give that advice since I was the least active member of TRF ) until stuff's all established and then you don't have to be around that much since everyone on your team will probably think you're the Minecraft equivalent of Jesus and the team should be able to pretty much run itself if it's not full of jerk-offs or DOTA players.

As long as you have a team and actively work to keep the team together on the level of family you should be great at leading the team.

As a person who has joined 11 CTF teams, the relationship between members is essential to a long lasting team. Fail to do this and your team will end up a flavor of the month. If things do start going downhill just don't call Code Red.
