Most hated CTF class.

Imo the game was quite balanced before mages (and elfs) were introduced. And since mage isn't the class one would usually choose to cap or defend seriously it is more like another class to pick opponents and spam them to death. Also, imo the infinite supply is a violation to basic PvP principles. In some communities people are insulted as "nooby bowspammers", now the mage doesnt even have limited arrows and he can shoot arrows just by right-clicking without straining a bow (which usually gives a melee a chance to close in).
For example, before the medic got nerfed you could get reported for using medic + ninja as an infinite egg-spamming cannon. The mage can keep spamming (for example the flag) on his own.
Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not saying it doesn't take skill to play mage, but from my point of view it is by far the most annoying class in ctf.

 

Dwarf. I'll occasionally switch teams in order to kill them. In fact, even Hitler saw a dwarf the other day and called it an atrocious, cold-blooded monster for existing.

 

Either dwarf, pyro, archer, or assassin. Dwarf is almost impossible to kill once it gets to a certain level. Pyro is skilless and has no counter(not everyone wants to type /medic whenever they see a pyro). Archer doesn't give you time to react and has no counter. Assassin takes no skill, doesn't give you time to react, and the counter is ping-based

FOR THE LAST TIME, mage may be annoying, but it is EASY TO KILL. Just strafe them, and all it takes is a few hits to kill them.

 

Please do make it the last time, you're getting repetetive. Strafing a mage isn't as easy as you make it sound. A good mage compensates for strafing and, with the addition of the knockback on the damage spell, if you get hit by one spell you'll have to start the strafe all over again. That's not including the fact that any hits you get in on the mage can be negated by the quick heal pot it has, and if you get too close it can freeze you in place while it runs back to another position to continue spamming its infinite ammo damage spell. The only way to truly get close to a mage even a relatively new one, is if you get lucky.

Mage just has too many options to keep itself alive, but at the same time it has too many options to kill everybody. While the main pvp classes have just one weapon, mage has 5.

 

The heal spell has a long cool down. The freeze spell gives both you and the mage time to heal. The weak armor of a mage makes it so you can kill them in a few hits.

 

Ok, but it's still a fast heal. The freeze spell gives you time to use your limited steak supply while the mage just clicks and waits for the next heal. Again, it's all about getting to the mage in the first place.

I hate mage...mage is soooo annoying qq

 

Bow spamming takes almost no skill. Sniping on the other hand does in a way.

 

For some reason, everyone disagrees with me but mine is ninja. I can't stand ninja. You have very little time to react at times and it's just overpowered. Please don't bother replying saying "i disagree" or some silly troll comment like before, that's my final opinion. Mage is also an unfair advantage when playing medic and heavy. Soldier can use their wall climbing sword.

 

At the moment ninja is just straight up overpowered without the damage nerf from mcpvp in effect, giving you even less time to react. Hopefully that'll be brought in and fix the problem soon enough.

I personally love the class but I can understand that archer is hated by much of the community for its headshot mechanic. I constantly see archers being chased down repeatedly, including myself not just from hatred but because they're an easy target short range

 

I really dislike the classes that allow the player to just chill at spawn, as in, necro and engineer. Not every one of them does this, but for the ones that do, it's super annoying. First, there is no points awarded for kills, so by not using their class to its max effectiveness, they are hurting their team. Second, a lot of these players will brag about how great they are when their class did all the work. Once again, not all do this, but some do.

I would pretend like I'm surprised, but I've been saying that CTF is melee based for years.
