    So I was killing people and playing ctf and i pearl to a roof and someone stand in front of me so i kill him when he's standing on some roof.

    I think you shouldnt complain if you get typed killed or afk killed.
    if you type or go afk in the battlefield you shouldnt complain or get mad because obv people can kill you there.
    if you want to do that then you have to go and do that in your spawn imo.

    how do you people think about type/afk kills?
    do you guys kill people that just stand somewhere?
    do you hate the people that do that to you?
    sometimes i let some people live because i need to recover fast or help the flag carrier. or sometimes its my friend and i dont attack them.
    so yay or nay for type/afk kills?

    Typekilling is just stupid, if you get killed in battlefield I get it... But as I know, chaos was hiding to type, and he was typing in global chat!!! You could have seen it..
    If you really want to make a prob about this and not say sorry.. Your fault..

    depends, if you are close to spawn its kinda stupid, but if you are in the middle of the map its ur own fault imo
    and being afk while not in spawn is just dumb

    usually I dont kill people if they are typing
    except if they are necro engineer dwarf or archer or did something that I dont like

    I have to agree with pizza here. In secluded areas, typekills are bad. But if someone is typing in a place where people are fighting, it's their fault for typing. Of course, the rules don't apply to engineers, necros, or dwarves.

    Are you calling Kip dumb!?!??!??!?!?!??!??

    he was standing on a roof in the middle of the map
    i pearled to that roof cuz its on the side of the flagroom.
    when i pearled their he was right in my face so should i know he was typing?
    i just reacted fast and started killing him. im not gonna wait like 2 seconds to see if he's actually there..
    and why say sorry..? i wasnt even targetting or anything. if anything he should say sorry to all the people he snipes from 30 blocks away without a counter ! :stuck_out_tongue:

    Well, if it was next to the flagroom, it wasn't in the middle, was it? And if he's just standing still, you can assume he's typing.

    Anyways, this is sort a stupid debate. Just play the game and don't worry about kills.

    I also killed the same guy today. He told me I was a stupid ''typekiller'', when in fact it is actually called killing someone who is making things difficult.

    sometimes they can be out of the way like this, and in these situations I find it more difficult to see why people wouldn't assume you'd be typing if you weren't moving

    dude your next to the key flag room on the middle of the map lol
    its where the **** goes down, not the middle of the map lol

    when i was playing i dont even pay attention to the chat most of the time so thats not to blame on me.
    i actually you know.. play >.> you can chat and play but then dont complain

    but you said you were out of the fighting zone -_-
    dude you can snipe people from 30 blocks away - the roof next to the flag room is perfect for that, so for an archer its not out of the fighting zone.
    and my render distance is on tiny so i didnt see you before i pearled up there and then when i did - boom you were justt there. im not gonna wait for you to repsond i have to kill you fast since i have no armour.
    i dont see how this is my fault and all other typekills in the world
    also where is the bias? ofcousrse i express my opinion in this thread.
    but keep it in general please. no need to pick one typekill. just think in general

    I'm rarely going for kills, but if I do, I do it for real. By that I mean I don't let an opportunity for an easy kill slip past. What I don't understand is why people who complain about getting typekilled don't just exit the chat menu when being attacked. Typing in chat means you are knowingly taking the risk of being killed in that time. If the attack hitting you isn't an instakill you have time to react and if that time isn't enough, then, well, you would've died to the attack even if you weren't typing. Not reacting is not a smart strategy if you ask me because you are well aware that many people either don't care or don't instantly notice you aren't fighting back, especially when they feel they got the momentum on their side.

    Anyways, type kills are fine, honestly. If you don't want to get type-killed, you shouldn't type in a PvP game, especially one this fast-paced. If you want to type, someone might want to take that opportunity to get a kill. Deal with it.

    . The main theme seems to be if they're out of the way and clearly not reacting, then it's common etiquette to let them talk. If they aren't then it's their own fault. In this situation I wasn't reacting and clearly out of the way of the main fighting

    He is not more biased towards typekilling than you are biased the other way. In his post he explained his opinion on the topic before asking for other people's opinions. The questions he asked were in no way formulated in a bias-producing way.
    He asked for opinions after having an argument. This is a fine way to use the forums, he never just shared his kill and the victim's overreaction, he never said he was proud of it and he never wanted to brag about it, he just wanted feedback on whether his behaviour was alright.

    That is true, but if you wanted a fair poll then you would not show bias of any kind in the first post. Additionally yes, it's true that I've been biased too, but equally I had to straighten the record in this case so that people weren't being mislead.

    Yes he asked for feedback in general as to whether his behaviour was alright, not about this case here. Unfortunately I think this poll itself is a bit badly put as I don't really fit into either of these 2 categories. My position stands that if they're out of the way and clearly typing then you shouldn't and elsewhere in the middle of a battle and typing then that's their own fault. Unfortunately there isn't a vote for in between.

    Its kinda obvious to me at least that this thread was only made to call Ch4os out. And to be honest, you don't need to say that you're proud about something for people to tell they're proud. Why else would he add his overreaction to the thread?

    Also, he lied about Ch4os's position on the map, so he was trying to made Ch4os seem worse than he actually was.

    Personally, I usually give a five-count on people who I see standing still in the middle of the game. If they don't start moving in 5 seconds they should have been typing it in spawn or in a part of the map that was out of the way.

    Please stop arguing whether it was alright to kill LordCh4os in that certain situation, because this is just leading to more flame.
    Just discuss AFK/Type kills in general.
