Idea Easiest Way to Stop Potspam

    For chemist, all that needs to be done to stop potspamming is by adding a 0.5 second cooldown on damage potions. They could still be used a lot, but now they can't be spammed to the point that its too powerful.

    The cooldown only applies with damage potions, so if you throw a damage potion you can use a healing potion, poison potion .ect within .5 seconds of using the damage potion.

    Ehhh this helps but doesn't fix the chemist problem. I'm all for putting 100% attention and energy into a rework for all 3 ultra broken classes.

    It's not a bad idea, but still chemist can be op. It can still spam heal potions, and use combos. I think the overall mana was a better concept. However, I'd like to see a legitimate fix to chemist in the future.

    It'd probably take 10 minutes maximum to implement this whereas it'd take a lot longer to completely fix chemist - if I could have either one of them now, I'd chose a chemist rework, but I'd rather have this now and a chemist rework when there's time.

    The mana system would be in place, but the 0.5 second cooldown on damage potions would also be in place.

    Thing is, this change would take 10 minutes to add, whereas a chemist rework or a bigger solution would take a lot longer.

    This is a really good idea, but maybe have a 0.5 second period for each type to prevent dmg, poison, heal heal heal heal, dmg posion, heal heal heal heal...

    It's a good idea, but chemist is just so underused it doesn't need a nerf.:smile:

    Pot spam is the least worst of the four different 'spamming' methods.
    If you see someone do it, back away, wait for it to run out and then kick his ass. Chemists don't have infinite damage pots, and they don't actually do that much damage IMO unless you splash it on someone directly.

    There's never been a problem with this before. Potspamming has only been considered unfair if its just damage potions. Also, limiting how often they can heal is a very bad idea - chemist has very weak armour and needs to heal quite a lot.

    Stop beating a dead horse! Chemist already had a nerf. The class has strength & speed I instead of II and potspam isn't that of a problem. Keep in mind that it doesn't work against; ninja, elf, dwarf and mage. So what if a chemist can get a default classer down quickly! Keep in mind that the chemist doesn't has unlimited potions, and that there is an xp-bar added which does stop potspam...

    its fairly ez to go like 20-0 as chemist without needing a medic. no other class can do that (apart from mage but it would take a lot longer) so it kinda does need to be changed

    If Chemist is a "dead horse", it wouldn't be one of the next 3 classes to be getting another nerf. Chemist before was way too powerful, and fortunately no-one realised it until it got nerfed.

    If this was the case, it wouldn't generally be frowned upon when its used - it isn't used often so it isn't too bad, but when it is used it is too powerful for an already powerful class.

    I know about elf and dwarf, but why not ninja and mage?

    That'd make Chemist play to win (but then again, it can get almost every class down quickly).

    It does if you find a medic, which aren't that rare. The XP-bar hardly stops it, you can spam up to 6 and that is more than enough most of the time.
