    CTF Map Submission

    Map Name: Asia's Dusk
    Style: Asian, Night (Obv)

    This is my second map, which I've actually done mostly solo, with aesthetic/gameplay help from kfact (thanks to him the map won't make your eyes bleed), and gameplay suggestions from a few people (@wintergreen3 @2pekippy @ReubenS). I decided to make this map Asian Themed, considering there hasn't been one since Pagodas (credit to whomever made this map, I'm pretty sure it's Pavocado). However, I was mostly focused on providing a different kind of map. Most CTF maps feature a building with a single room with which the flag lies. Using the idea of layer buildings, I created a building with three rooms, each with their own use, the middle holding the flag. At first when you looked at the map, your first response may have been: "soldier OP1!" I placed several sponges at the base of each building to allow all classes to scale them easily, and I'm pretty confident I put enough cover for archers. This map is just under 300 in length, and about 130 in width. Don't worry about mobility, I put lots of sponges in certain areas. I excluded them on the sides, however, to make it a little easier for people to recover.

    UPDATE: This map is pretty much complete, and not subject to changes. However, let me know what you think about it anyway! Also, thanks to suggestions below, the map has been changed. The dirt has been replaced with a hallway, and the spawn has been changed. The soul sand in the flag room has been removed, and replaced with water above it. Some other minor gameplay changes have been made (not pictured). Again, thanks to kfact for all his help, wouldn't be the same w/o him.

    Not a huge fan of the soulsand in the flag room. Otherwise looks pretty good.

    There is pretty much nothing wrong with this map, except for what inge said. I would love to see this as an addition to the server.

    +1 That's beautiful! But you might want to make a bit more of a wall because that's really well, low. And since my favorite part about some maps are the walls because I'm starting to lean to main archer... Yeah... xD

    Thanks for your thoughts everyone! About the soulsand..it was mostly put there to break the fall for classes other than soldier that wanted to fly in, but I might substitute it for water, or remove it completely. Sorry about the walls, they kind have to be that low, soldier is already gonna be strong on this map, don't want it to be about to scale the sides as well :c

    EDIT: Yeah, soul sand doesn't break your fall, so I'll definitely be replacing it. Thanks Inge m8

    Last time I checked soulsand hasn't broken falls since the spawns had doors on them and pressure plates.

    Gameplay wise this is very good although some parts seem a tad bit soldier op. Aesthetically wise it is good could be improved but still better then 50% of maps in the rotation. +1
