Idea Buff The Necromancer Class

    The necromancer is a really cool idea for a class but its very under-powered and its a very unforgiving class. It will pay off if you manage to survive long enough but in most cases the Necromancer will not thrive. It very challenging to level up the spawner and even keep the spawner up and running. The zombies don't deal much damage, not to mention that the AI of the zombies is very poor, and the gaining Exp to level the spawner up is very challenging as when you die you loose any Exp you've gained. Sure you can team up with a Chemist and Boost the zombies but that requires teamwork and in most scenarios there is no teamwork. Even the short rounds are hard for Necromancers to keep up with, so I have a few suggestions to make the Necromancer a more forgiving and playable class.
    1. Any kills with the Necromancer now gain Exp. This would help level up spawners faster and make the Necromancer a more self-relied class.
    2. Give the Necromancer a more infinite health source (similar to the Mage's healing spell). This would let the Necromancer stay alive longer and keep the spawner at a higher level.
    3. Look into fixing the AI of the zombies maybe because a lot of the time they let players just walk through places unnoticed.
    4. Maybe this is already a thing but if it is I haven't noticed it. Overtime zombies should gain more speed, damage, and maybe even regenerate health on their own. This would be specific to each mob so you would actually have to work on keeping your zombies alive.
    Those are my ideas on how to make the Necromancer a more fun and forgiving class so please take it into consideration because the Necromancer is really under-powered. Also zombies means all the mobs i.e. zombies, skeletons, and blazes.

    I like the second idea but it could add more of a necro type thing like take 4 hearts from the enemy players and give it to yourself .

    Im not a big fan of the 4th idea because it will be like dwarf and become very op without having to do anything.

    I can agree that it would be over-powered if zombies had buffs like the dwarf , so maybe zombies only have a maximum boost of level one potion effects that happen over a period of time. I still think that zombies should be more powerful the longer you keep them alive because that makes players actually stay near their zombies and not just throwdown a spawner and run away. I believe that the Necromancer should be a self-reliant support class that fights with it's zombies and keeps them alive. And maybe to rgain health the Necromancer needs to be around it's zombies. I agree with your Necromancer-themed healing, but there needs to be a reward for keeping your zombies alive. And if not the maybe make mob spawning faster and more mobs can spawn in total. Thanks for the feedback!

    Also a quick idea maybe implement a device that will let you lead you zombies around. You can hold maybe rotten flesh and bring your zombies with you where ever you go.

    But the flesh does little to no damage similar to the manual control on the Engineer class.

    I think necro needs a rework in general - something that makes it more of an active class as opposed to the place-and-hide style it is now.

    Yeah exactly! That's what these buffs would do. It would encourage players to stay with their mobs and fight with them instead of the place and hide strategy. Thanks for the feedback!

    Doesn't solve any problems if you ask me. Necro will still be passive, just a bit more killfarming off of randoms involved, and would still not add to the actual gameplay of CTF aside from annoying offense as well as defense more than it does at the moment, but by far not hinder them in any way. As @Xelia_ said, this rework is not quite as general and the main problems still exist.. :/ It just becomes more of a hindrance, not useful.

    As @Plautius said this doesn't fix the snowballing aim of the class. A full Rework should be proposed rather then a slight change.
