How do you know it doesn't have an impact on the sale of classes? Give me hard numbers, please.

Never said I did. I'm assuming, and I need hard numbers to confirm one way or another.
Problem is, one, brawl will never open up their saleslog, and two, we don't even have data on sales of classes when there WAS no noob day.

When I refuse to discuss something with someone, it's usually because it wanders way off the topic or is likely to end in flame which is against the forum rules. I do it not because I don't have an argument, but because it's not worth it. If you want to carry on arguing despite where it's headed then that's your choice but please don't expect me to.

You use noob here in a derogatory way when the term noob is just a shorthand of newbie. Yes, new players aren't usually very good at the classes, and that's because they haven't got a lot of experience! We were all new players once, even you. Are you saying we shouldn't give everyone a chance to use premium classes because they haven't played a lot or payed for them already?

This is more down to common sense. If you know more about what you're missing, you're more likely to want it and therefore more likely to buy it. Also it gives the opportunity for people to learn the basics. You're less likely to buy the class if you've not played it once and have no idea how to use it properly. At least with the basics you have a starting point to work from. In any case, sales figures would be pretty much impossible for us to get without one of the brawl staff telling us, so that's not happening. I expect you would find a fair difference if I could magically find these numbers though. I suppose the point must be, why have they had freeday so long if it didn't have an effect on sales? To keep it for so long there must be a good reason, and since it's a business it's probably down to sales

This analogy is flawed in the first instance because as soon as you stop cleaning something, the dirt begins to accumulate once more. In something as large as the white house, the likelihood is if you finished cleaning it once, where you started would have accumulated enough dirt to warrant cleaning again. Moreover, whilst you don't need premium classes to win a game, it puts everyone on an equal playing field when everyone has access to all the classes, and so it does make the server less pay-to-win to have a freeday friday
If you want to talk more about freeday wouldn't it be better to talk on a thread about Freeday? As I said In the first part of this response I don't like to respond to things which head way off the topic but I did in this instance to set things straight


On a more relevant note, I have to say that throwback Thursday is a great idea. For one it gives a large variety of maps in rotation which is especially good at the moment with beta meaning no new map waves. Also gives a chance to see some of the maps which some of the veterans used to love. We should make sure that incredibly broken maps aren't added however, just to keep it fair for everyone (I don't think I need to remind everyone of the problems with engineer on Halo). With that said, please keep the throwback Thursday idea because I'm pretty sure it's popular with a lot of people
