    Came across this idea just the other day.
    Currently, if you have the flag and walk into spawn, the flag gets restored automatically. Most new players have no idea what happened and can get frustrated, causing them to leave the game.
    My proposal: If someone tries to walk into spawn with the flag, a message will appear saying, "You can't go into spawn with the flag!", or something along those lines, and they get pushed out of spawn. The flag doesn't get restored, and now the new player understands he/she cannot go into spawn with the flag.
    Opinions???

    I'd prefer it to be made so you can't go back into spawn in general tbh.

    Pushing someone into spawn is a strategy if they're spawn camping, so no.

    +1 I like this idea for a couple reasons:

    -Makes the game more noob friendly.
    -Discourages idiotic and annoying spawn camping.
    -Forces the other team to actually have to manually kill the flag carrier (which is what they should have to do) instead of pushing them into their own spawn.

    No, pushing someone into spawn is sometimes the only way to kill campers.

    They should be able to push them into their own spawn. Why? Because there are too many durn medics, that's why!

    No because it's a dumb strategy/encourages spawn camping (which is bad) and because pushing someone into their own spawn is not the only way to recover by any means.

    Unfortunately, in many situations, it is. I think for now, it should stay as is. But, after some kit balancing, we can make spawn push anyone out who tries to go in, no matter what team they are.

    Except that's not a universal truth. The maps often create a situation where hitting someone into their spawn is a more viable option of recovery but on other maps it is perfectly possible to recover without knocking someone into their spawn.

    I don't think it should stay as it is because it encourages spawn camping on badly designed maps.

    Exactly, it's still needed in many situations.

    How does it encourage spawn camping? If this was added, it would just encourage it more.

    The problem with this statement is that you are equivocating 'need' with 'viable option'.
    Just because spawn camping and knocking someone into their own spawn can be a strategy for effective recovery does not mean it is needed to recover effectively but is instead one of many strategies to do so.

    Maybe they're not allowed to walk into spawn, but they could be pushed into spawn? I'm not sure how this will be made, but I'm very sure this is possible.

    I think they can walk into spawn after a warning that stuns for 2 secs, making them read the warning. If they don't abide, that sux because there was a warning already.

    Umm. Walking into spawn is how you cap. It's just bugged Rn. Give nom some time. He will fix

    Maybe they can get pushed into spawn by an enemy player, but can't walk into spawn by themselves?
    IDK how it would be coded, but it would be very cool if this was implemented.

    With lag and abusive mods, players are going to be lost anyways.
