Guide to Non-Prestige Guns and Equipment

This guide will cover all of the non-prestige guns and will have my personal opinion on each gun. This guide will not cover prestige guns, donor weapons or donor gear.

Guns
Sniper Class

L188a: The basic sniper. Does a good amount of damage and has a decent fire rate. Very versatile and I myself use it from time to time. It's also a good sniper for practicing.

Dragunov: Many people say this sniper is "OP" and I can see why. It's got a good size clip, a fast fire rate, and deals a high amount of damage. A great sniper until you get the MSR, which is a better dragunov.

Barret 50cal: The odd-ball sniper. It was the best sniper in the past, but got nerfed and is considered the worst sniper. I don't agree. This sniper deals 9 hearts of damage on the body and 1 shot to the head. This gun can one-shot on the body from father away. This sniper is meant for long range sniping. In the hands of a skilled player, the barrett can be a real threat indeed.

MSR: My favorite sniper. It has a very fast fire rate and deals high amounts of damage. However if you're not careful you can easily waste all 6 bullets. A very good sniper and my personal favorite.

Assault Rifles

M16: A fantastic beginner weapon. I use this myself a lot either for fun or just because I want to. What really makes this weapon great is its burst fire mode. Combine that with its medium amount of damage and you've got yourself a great weapon.

M4A1: Although this is great when you get it, once you get the AK-47 you'll ditch this immediately. It has no real differences from the M16 except its damage and fire rate. It is also fully automatic so watch your ammo.

AK-47: A great assault rifle. Does the same damage as M16 but with a slower fire rate and it's fully automatic. Whether you use this or the M16 really depends on which you prefer more.

Famas: Second best assault rifle. It has a burst fire mode and deals a great amount of damage, but has less range then the AK-47 but has the best aimed accuracy out of every other assault rifle.

Shotguns
Shotguns are meant for close range combat and do a lot of damage at closer ranges.

M1014: Not a great shotgun, but it does a good amount of damage. Good starter weapon.

Spas-12: Good shotgun. Can one-shot at point blank range and does a great amount of damage.

AA12: An iffy shotgun. It is fully automatic and has a fast fire rate and reload time, but has low damage. It's great for knocking back the enemy but is of little use otherwise.

Model 1887: The best shotgun. Does 273 damage at point blank and can oneshot from a few blocks away.
Very good gun for infect.

Sub-Machine Guns
Mac 10: The first SMG has a lot going for it. It's got good stats all around. This is good until you get the AK-47.

MP7: Great SMG. Doesn't do a whole lot more damage then the Mac-10 but has little recoil and better accuracy.

Pistols

USP-45: Good pistol if you're starting out but utterly useless after obtaining a better secondary. It does a good bit of damage though.

M9: Best pistol until the Desert Eagle. Does a great amount of damage and has a good sized clip.

Magnum: I thought this was good when i got it but I was wrong. It's got only 6 bullets and has low damage.
It does have the best aimed accuracy out of all the other pistols but I wouldn't use this after you get the Desert Eagle.

Desert Eagle: Usually called the Deagle for short, this pistol is great. A 2-3 shot to most, and has very good hip accuracy.

Equipment

Knifes
Tactical Knife: A typical iron sword. 2-3 hits will kill a target.

Lethals
Grenade: Standard lethal. Right-click to throw it and it explodes 3 seconds later and deals high damage to any enemies in it's radius. Most people use this in Infected.

Molotov: When thrown it knocks enemies back and sets them on fire. The fire particles also make it more difficult to aim.

Tomahawk: When thrown it kills anyone in it's path. Can't buy with credits, but very good.

Tactical
Flashbang: Blinds enemies. Good for blinding large groups to get lots of kills.

Defense
Armor: You receive an iron chest-plate and iron boots. Makes you more resistant to bullets and explosions.
Costs 125 credits and lasts one round only.

Super Armor: You receive a diamond chest-plate and diamond boots. Makes you much more resistant to bullets and explosions. Very good, but costs 550 credits and lasts only one round.

Kill-Streaks

5 Kill-Streak: Ammo -You receive 20 ammo for your primary weapon and 30 ammo for your secondary weapon.

15 Kill-Streak: EMP - Blinds all players on the enemy team. Lasts for 15 seconds. It wears off if you die.

21 Kill-Streak: Tactical Nuke - Kills all players on the enemy team that don't have spawn protection.

M1014 does 88 damage if all bullets hit. That's roughly 30 less then spas-12 for comparison. I don't use the M1014, but its stats haven't changed. And yes, snipers do one shot at close range, but that is not their purpose. It's more efficient to use a shotgun for close range then a sniper. The only snipers that would do decent at close range would be Dragunov and msr because of their high fire rate.

All items I listed can be obtained through voting or credits. I didn't realize the super knife was donor exclusive, therefore it has been removed from the guide. I apologize for the confusion.
