    Blackout X is a project intended primarily to update the look of the map. Blackout is widely regarded as one of the best CTF maps ever made, and the sheer amount of time it's spent in rotation is testament to that. But, it's pretty... basic, and that's a characteristic shared with many Minecraft creations from around that time, whether it be in CTF or elsewhere. Higher-ups in both Brawl and MCPVP have expressed worry at how new players might perceive dated maps like River Crossing and Dragon Valley (other maps going through some awesome revamps), and that's where Blackout X comes in.

    Gameplay has essentially been kept exactly the same, since there's no need to change it (and any large changes could negatively impact the game). Because of this, it's possible for this map to completely replace Blackout without having to worry about whether veterans like it or not since - with the possible exception of the structures around the flagroom - everything is as it was before.

    A few bits of extra information:
    • The colours have been changed from Red and Blue to Orange and Cyan respectively, to better fit in with the aesthetics of the map.
    • The spawn box has been reskinned to correspond with the map's textures (it also has a moose on top which I just discovered. Thanks @Elliott_Moose.)
    • The spawn blocks are stained glass, because netherrack and lapis look terrible in default.
    • The annoying asymmetricality of the map has been painstakingly fixed.
    • The music in the video is Guns & Wolves by WeAreCastor. Please don't sue me!
    Hope you like it better than Parklife! (I know it sucked, I'm sorry!)

    I like the bazaar idea of your rework! I'd say: decorate the middle a bit more and that brawl puts it in the rotation so we can get rid of the horrible current blackout and hopefully, the even more horrific whiteout...

    I think you meant to say "one of the biggest examples of rose tinted favoritism ever" rather than "the best map" because you have to be brain dead to consider blackout a good map to today's standards.

    That's the old blackout, this one at least improves on the aesthetics
