Firstly, apologies for the crappy grammar and spelling but the iPad keyboard is more of a joke than Brittan's slack bot so it's kinda awkward. Get used to it because I'm stuck with it for the next 2 weeks, but it has it's PROs. For those who care, our family just bought a villa out in the Mericas so it's all good.

Anyways, about the merge. Before you complain and say "oh me gerd why u making a big deal bout it", I know most the discussions have already stopped and it's almost completely decided that Creative is going and Build is replacing it. That's the problem.

Even a staff team as good as the people who take over 2 years to release a remake of a gamemode should be able to realise that merging creative and build is unneccassery and will do more harm than good. Ex-McPvPers such as myself couldn't care less if Build merges (then again, I'm dreading the amount of "tp for skin contest!!!" but I'll get used to it I guess). However, people from creative generally don't want creative to merge, and I'm not surprised why.

What's the problem with creative? Sure, I think Build is better in every way and so do most Brawl staff members, but Creative regulars don't feel that way. There's no point in removing something that is perfectly fine considering the only difference it will make is a hassle in time and effort from staff and an unwanted removal of Creative regular's favourite server.

Tl;Dr (it took me 4 attempts to override autocorrect) Removi creative? No point.

Look at it from a business standpoint: How much money are you making from Creative? Servers cost a lot of money. How much money are you making from Build? Easy decision if you look at it that way.

That's a little offensive. Creative has a lot of players and many people like it as well.

Anyway, I think a better idea would be keeping one server with both features. Maybe Build can have access to a plot world or something, I don't know. This way, possibly everyone can be happy. Dedicated builders can get their own maps/worlds like what normally happens in Build, and players that like to build small things respectively or just don't really build maps can get plots in the plot world. I think this idea was shared in a thread once, but not sure.

    How is it offensive?

Anyways, from what I have heard from the higher ups, the features of both servers will be kept. Just trust the staff at this point to handle the transfer. I mean, you can enjoy create for the next two years rite?!?!??!

The way you said "How much money are you making from Creative?" and "How much money are you making from Build?" made it sound like you were saying Creative isn't as good enough as Build. If you look at how many players are on each servers, Creative is the one that has more players most of the time.

But, I apologize if I understood it incorrectly.

I'm not at all saying one server is better, I'm just comparing how much money each server is bringing in. There's really no reason to buy a rank for Creative, but Build offers incentives for ranks, therefore bring in more money.

That's putting it in a different shade of light, not neccasserily the best one. We could put McPvP servers in a different shade of light and say that the community is often arrogant and expects too much, and complains a lot, so we should ditch McPvP servers. Creative might not make a lot of money but it's more popular than build most of the time according to player counts.

Also, it's not hard to have it make money. You should be able to buy WE for a day for $1.00, more plots for $2.50 each .ect... sure, it isn't much, but it's more than it's making now and more than Build is making.

If the Administrators wanted more money on creative, I'm certain it could be done. Creative is a plot world, and once you get more ranks, there's more plots you have. Along with this, I'm certain they can make VIP, MVP and ELITE worlds, this would give them the business.

I fully agree with this thread, I do not see the need to merge. They may be simaler servers but honestly, players still play each and they're both popular.

    All about that sweet money.

    :greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy:

In all seriousness however, you're probably right though. As much as I would like to see some sort of a compromise pushed through, it's never gonna happen. The admins don't care enough about the Brawl community to spend time coming up with a solution that will please more people. The problem is, they are looking at everything from a business standpoint. To provide an example: (incoming McWar rant) this is exactly why War 2.0 has not and likely never will happen. It's at the bottom of the priority list, because it's simply not going to bring in as much cash as coming out with new servers does. Since War 2.0 was announced 2 years ago, the server's popularity has grown tremendously, the number of servers has more than doubled, and we've absorbed a large portion of McPvp. From a business standpoint, this is great! From the community's standpoint, the community is bigger (more idiots), and we have more games (not War 2.0). No one on Brawl believes in War 2.0 anymore. That hype train derailed into the ravine a long time ago, and #Soon ain't gonna pull it out.

Back on track (no pun intended), my point is, I think we should stop looking at this from a business standpoint. Maybe let's think a little bit about what the community wants? But screw the community, right? Let's go back to the business standpoint for a moment. Compromising should still be better even if it doesn't appear so at first. If the "merged server" is more attractive to former creative players, you are going to have more players, and more players equals more dollar signs. And this is what's wrong with looking at everything from a business standpoint. We are nothing more than dollar signs. To quote @MinebunchAddSoup :

Build is more effective than Creative, the only bad side is the losing of ranks. Everything is cleared up on @Potatoto 's thread. I don't see why Creative needs to stay to be honest.
