    I've been playing war for a while, and I come back to CTF today, and I'm swiftly greeted by seeing messages in chat intended both for me and others saying...
    Player_XYZ: "You're Ez"
    Crafter_ABC: "No you're Ez"
    Person_DEF: "Mage takes no skill all mages suck"
    Crafter_ABC: "Player_XYZ sucks at mage"
    Sir_Inge: "Mage takes skill, actually"
    Player_GHI: "Sir_Inge, shut up!"

    This is just an example. I have NEVER seen this on any other server on brawl. It's considerably worse than McPvP's chat hate was. I don't know what on earth happened between now and then, but this community is quite toxic. It makes playing the game no fun.

    Honestly, I'd like everybody to either just play the game and not hurl mud around or use the chat for jokes and stuff.

    to be fair, you're the only person I know who plays mage well, every other one is just spammy and annoying.

    This, and only this is the cause of all hate in the community! You and someone else who's name I'm not going to name, to avoid more drama are always publically pointing these things out and complaining about it. This causes gossip and siding.

    If you were mature you would just ignore it and then all annoying comments towards you would cease...

    Being spammy as mage is actually what causes to kill people with it, lol. I assume you mean "getting killed" with annoying?

    Honestly, I come to these forums to get ideas out, to vent, and to try my best to cause change. This is some of the last two. I hate being yelled at in chat, and I hate having people jump down my throat for the littlest thing. Since the forum community is, for the most part, nicer, I figured I'd ask them for advice or lat least they'd be able to listen to the problem and provide empathy.

    Perhaps this is not the place to discuss a mage rework.

    And even if it wasn't you don't need it to ignore people, (like I've been saying for ages)

    Or better yet, just leave the damn game and let it die like it deserves at this point.

    The community may be toxic but you're not doing yourself any favours wallowing in it like that, you know?

    I love CTF and the online community, I'd just like to be able to play the game while it lasts (because it is dying) in peace. It's annoying that that's not possible.

    I think we both know that's not true. You already know what you're supposed to do with it: ignoring it! Or give a comment back, your choice. We know very well that this results in the 2 things mentioned in my last comment to you. This is just asking for attention.

    Leave me alone. Please. I came here for ideas and support, not to be bashed.
    Yeah... Might have to do that sadly. There are people who I like talking to though, some of them just ruin it though, you know?

    It's also possible to just seriously ignore people. I'm not kidding or trying to be sarcastic, I've learned that it's seriously possible to just not care.

    If you want to chat to people mid-game, you'll have to put up with spam and trashtalk.

    Attention.

    Everytime you hear what you don't like to hear you act like that, while it's you who can't leave people alone. You keep arguing with people untill you hear what you want to hear. That's what causes the hate. So I suggest you delete this post and just follow @BAWSS5 's advice.
