    Hi!

    We'll get straight to the point: as CTF players (and I'm sure same goes for e. g. war, too), we notice new players having a large, large disadvantage just because they don't know how to play their classes/kits/weapons. At all.

    So how about creating a small tutorial explaining it like on another major server I don't want to name due to advertising restrictions, and rewarding the finishing of the tutorial with something worth it?

    For example three days of VIP (to get to know all the perks and maybe even subscribe to it?), or a free class/kit/weapon, or some kind of free currency you'd otherwise get through voting? That can be talked about, though!

    We think a neat tutorial would really help keep newbies attracted to a rather complicated gamemode, especially CTF.

    Tell us your opinions!

    Plautius and @PanDaniel_
    Thank plaut for the text c;

    A tutorial won't work, because noobs simply don't know what they are doing. The next question is wether they would understand the tutorial. Best thing to do is to make classes easier to play and to understand. Also maybe pop-up messages (in screen, because many noobs don't watch their chat) like when someone played heavy for an entire round there can come a message "right-click the netherstar to choose other classes!" Or when someone plays medic and healed no one in an entire life (as in kd), then a message like "hit your allies to heal them" could appear. Also making the game more noob-friendly would do. Think about it, heavy Steveskins running into snipers, pyros, engineers and assassins. That's not a way for them to learn CTF.

    I think you dont get what kind of tutorial :/,and if someone doesn't understand the tutorial he probably also cant understand a "Simpler" version of a class..

    No, Tom. Wrong, Tom. We don't want the game simpler, Tom. We're making the game noob-friendly by telling them how it works! Imagine this - we'll reduce mage to damage spell now! It's simpler to use. Noobs will understand it better. And while we're at it, we'll just merge assassin into ninja. Easier. And also, archer can no longer headshot, pyro can only set on fire, and Soldier can't wall-climb any more. The point of CTF is that it has more than other gamemodes, that's why it has such a connected playerbase, that's how this community evolved.

    You can't just go destroy it to basically have another Kit-PvP so the noobs can have just as much fun here like they have there.

    Saixos started to make a tutorial world awhile back but it never came to anything. It would be cool if some people could get together and make a fun map full of villagers and obstacles to test the classes on, which you could visit by typing /tutorial or something.

    I think players should be forced to be put into a ctf map with like a 5 minute tutorial teaching them the basics and all the default classes + what they do. Using pvp bots to place them in a place to defend the flag and ****. I dunno it just really bugs the hell out of me when i see all the brawl noobs running around as heavy not having a clue what to do.
    NEVER FORGET THE MEDICS THAT HAVE THE ABILITY TO SAVE YOUR LIFE ON A 30 KILLSTREAK BUT JUST RUN BY YOU BECAUSE THEY HAVENT A CLUE WHAT MEDIC IS/DOES
