    This is the Super Duper Uber Mage Nerf That Will Blow Your Minds To Jupiter, a cool Mage rework thingy that stops spellspamming very easily! Literally all it needs is a damage spell overheat where if you use damage spell more than 5 times in a row without using another spell or waiting 3/4 of a second (there can be a boss bar that shows that wait time) you will overheat the damage spell and will not be able to use it for 2 seconds. See? Quick and easy way to get rid of spellspamming! If you want to get rid of it another way I also have this idea for countering spellspamming: just make it so shots repeatedly fired in intervals of less than 3/4 of a second just deal less damage and maybe less knockback.

    Saying spellspamming is OP is like saying swordspamming is OP. No, mage is fine. Learn how to counter it. Mage does not need a nerf(at least not without a buff)

    Spell spamming has range while sword spamming does not? Bad example.

    I've always sucked when attempting to counter spell spamming. Can you tell me ways to do it?

    Strafe the mage. And all it takes is a few hits to kill the mage.

    OK mage mains say all the negative stuff you have to say now so I don't have to deal with it later.

    This isn't a horrible idea, but I think the main problem with Mage at the moment is the infinite health pool, coupled with the amount of knockback that it can give to you while you fight it. If one or both of those things were nerfed and Mage were still somehow overpowered, then maybe trying this would be good.
    Just my opinion, though. :wink: Probably @aRandomBob157 could elaborate/have a better idea of what should be changed, my perspective is mainly from an Archer's view (although I tried to make it not be xD)

    Thanks, it is definitely more sane than the Archer rework I done a few months ago :smile: . I'll look into ideas for nerfing the infinite health pool, and my second nerf idea does contain a feature for decreasing knockback. And tbh I first got the idea from an Archer's POV but then as time went on molded it into other classes' POV.

    Hold on, but the Mage will probably predict where you're going to strafe. Then they'll hit you with a fire spell to slow down your strafe, then use damage spell. And if you do get close, you get hit by the lightning spell. Finally, the Mage can heal up after they knock you back thus leaving you with less steak against a fully healed Mage.

    Good point, but any Mage can be taken down by a group of people (4-5). Even with the knock back, it's impossible to hit everybody all at once. Freeze spell might work, but not everyone would be stuck. Lightning spell gives time for you to regen, but the regeneration can be countered since it isn't instant and with the amount of damage a lot of people inflicts, you'd die.

    No class should be able to go win a 5 v. 1, unless yur opponent is really bad,

    The lightning spell is better with farther distances. The heal spell has a long cooldown

    Lightning spell can still be used short ranged.
    And the knock back from damage spell and lightning spell + fire damage from fire spell + freeze spell is enough for the Mage to run the heal spell's cooldown.

    In conclusion, Mage n3rf pl0x
