Turret distance to flag

    2015-09-25_20.46.55.png In this screenshot I am only 17 blocks away from the flag and I block one entrance.
    One engineer on the other side and mostly no1 can get in or out of the flagroom.
    Problem: In some maps the engineer can place the turret like next to the flag which makes it unfair for the cappers to get out safe.
    Solution: Make a bigger area where engineers cant place their turrets so that the cappers have better chances to get out of the flagroom.
    Question: Is it possible to make the area bigger ?

    I suppose it would be a good idea to have more monster brick eggs around the entrances to the flag room to prevent engineer camping. Thanks.

    Agreed, there a ton of maps like this, it makes defense really easy.

    not only woodlands has this problem also other maps have it
    for example on platforms you cant place a turret near the flagroom only on the stairs.
    the cappers have the chance to jump down and use the sponge
    thats good :smile:
    the problem is that on some maps u need more than 18 blocks (woodlands) so that cappers have still a chance to cap
    not only outside
    u see where i am
    i am inside the flagroom
    there is the problem not outside

    I know Aquafus has had this issue (though for different reasons.) for over a year now and would love to see this be finally fixed in the process.

    Yeah im a capper myself and its IMPOSSIBLE to cap at that map with Two engis

    sorry that sounds like you are engi/necro mainer
    if you build a map where you only have 2 ways to escape than it wont come into the rotation
    (well im not sure why this map is in the rotation you have 2 sides to get into the flagroom and 3 entrances outside to get in. some players say that atm many **** maps are in the rotation (bad building, .....class op and more).
    what would make that much more easy to make good maps is to have a look on the old maps and on the popular maps.
    I know that only build team and higher can use all the ctf maps.
    every1 should be able to use all the maps so that you dont need to ask every time some1 to give u the map what you want

    you mean that if you have more entrances you need more barriers

    no barriers just stairs

    use sponges on the sides as ninja and you are very fast away
    halo
    4 ways to get into flagroom
    the only barrier is the way to get down
    you can use stairs or jump down

    • Aquafus
    • Standoff (kinda)
    • Woodlands
    • Whiteout
    • Blackout
    There might be more, but these are the ones I know that need monster eggs :stuck_out_tongue:

    Well Engis put their turrets like right at the entrance in whiteout and blackout.

    Yea, I agree on this one. Capping is hard with engineering turrets directly out of the flagroom.
