    Dwarf

    Rework Goals:

    • Remove snowballing
    • Increase skill cap
    • Solve the problem of the exaggerated slowness of Dwarf
    • Introduce an offense role to this class

    Armor:

    • Chainmail Helmet
    • Diamond Chestplate
    • Diamond Leggings
    • Chainmail Boots
    • This is the same armor

    Passive Abilities (includes potion effects)[/B]
    • Slowness I
    • Ability to sprint
Dwarf's biggest problem was its mobility. Dwarves in general ARE supposed to be slow, but what we had before was kind of exaggerated and limited Dwarf too much.

    Items:

    1. Diamond Sword w/ sharpness I - 4.625 hearts of damage

    2. 3 Steak - Each restores 4 hearts of health

    3. Brick renamed to "Ground Pound" - Leap very high and create a large explosion that launches players and deals minor true damage

    4. Gold Ingot renamed to "Fiery Smash" - Leap moderately high and create a small explosion that sends out particles in front of you (that come out of the ground) that deal true damage, light enemies on fire, and go through multiple enemies.

    5. Emerald renamed to "Dwarven Fury" - Become faster and more resistant when charged up.

    6. **EMPTY**

    7. **EMPTY**

    8. Compass - Points toward a flag

    9. Nether Star renamed to "Class Selector" - Allows you to select a class

    Active Abilities:

    Ground Pound

    • Right clicking launches you straight up 5 blocks, and then has you come crashing down to create an explosion with a 3 block radius (you yourself do not take damage). Any enemy in the explosion is knocked back 5 blocks and up 6, dealing 2 hearts of true damage in the process, but granting fall damage immunity for 2 seconds. Has an 8 second cooldown.

    Fiery Smash

    • Right clicking launches you straight up 3 blocks, and then has you come crashing down to create a small explosion (1.5 block radius). The explosion sends out fire/ground particles in front of you (that come out of the ground) at a speed of 6 blocks a second, a distance of 6 blocks, and a y coordinate within 3 vertical blocks of the Dwarf. Any enemy that is struck by these particles is dealt 3 hearts true damage and fire for 6 seconds. Has an 8 second cooldown.

    Crouch Charging for Dwarven Fury:

    • Crouching charges up your XP bar (18 total minibars) at a rate of 2 minibars a second (when empty, 6 seconds to fully charge). When you uncrouch, you can activate Dwarven Fury for (amount of charged minibars / 3) seconds. For example, if you were to charge 12 minibars, and then uncrouch and use Dwarven Fury, you would be in Dwarven Fury for 4 seconds (12/3 = 4). The Dwarven Fury item holds the charge until it is used, but it loses one minibar of XP per second that the ability is not activated.

    Dwarven Fury

    • Speed II (over the slowness I)
    • Fire Resistance
    • Potion Immunity
    • 50% Knockback Resistance

    Counter to:
    • Groups of players
    • Engineer (hard)
    • Necro (hard)
    • Ninja (hard)
    • Archer (moderate)
    • Pyro (soft)
    • Other Dwarves (soft)

    Countered by:
    • Elf (hard)
    • Chemist (hard)
    • Mage (moderate)
    • Pyro (moderate)
    • Assassin (moderate)
    • Heavy (soft)
    • Other Dwarves (soft)

    Strategies:

    • Hiding? In case an enemy sees you, prepare yourself by crouch charging and keeping your hotbar cursor on Ground Pound. Remember to hotkey to and activate Dwarven Fury! This will help ensure a successful escape from any enemies.
    • Want to ambush someone? Hide, crouch charge, and keep your hotbar cursor on Fiery Smash. This will help ensure that the enemy cannot escape.
    • Trouble stealing the flag or recovering? Crouch charge, sneak up to the enemy, and keep your hotbar cursor on Fiery Smash. Then surprise your enemy by unleashing your Fiery Smash and hotkeying to and activating Dwarven Fury. If you've been buffed by a chemist, you'll likely perform a solid steal or recover.

Please comment and leave advice to improve the rework! :grinning:

Thanks to the entire CCC team for their hard work!

This rework is quite complicated and Dwarven fury is extremely OP. Because of that I don't see this working out very well in game. -1

He's in the CCC, and gave us permission to use his rework as the basis for this one.

    Agreed. This is:
    1. Complicated
    2. OP

Keep in mind Fire Resistance isn't pyro immunity, and it's still pretty damn weak against ranged classes. Classes like heavy and soldier will take down quite a bit of a dwarf's health in a 1v1 situation.

I also don't really see how it's complicated, care to explain?

I like some of these ideas. However, the dwarven fury is pretty overpowered. Needs a couple of tweaks, though the general concept is interesting ^^

When thinking of this I thought of it less op then the current dwraf but still tad op. Due to @Alturia10 not being active till Monday we may pause until he is back or may continue tweaking this.

This is really cool and dwarf will be very badass, but as stated as others, it is indeed a bit OP.

I can't see how it is OP- a slowness 1 dwarf with no form of shield is easy pickings for instakill classes, even classes like chemist could deal large amounts of damage to it and a sharp 1 d sword isn't that high damage output. The dwarven fury's main factor is the speed 2, but this lasts for a maximum of 6 seconds, before the dwarf becomes slow again. The dwarf could cover far less distance than an elf, with the only way to recharge being crouching. The abilities don't exactly deal high damage to single targets either.

Current Dwarf: Can eventually 2 shot heavies (1 with enough time)
Reworked Dwarf: One aspect is supposedly OP therefore it is bad

Meh. Really the only complexity IMO is in the coding. Gameplay wouldn't be that difficult. If dwarven fury really is OP then maybe reduce the reduction (heh heh) in knockback to like 25%, maybe no fire resistance (don't really see the point in that tbh)

Otherwise I really don't see a problem with this rework (partially cuz I helped make it ;P )

It's just like elf, complicated, but we can get used to it.
