What's up with the auto banned?! It's not working

    It seems like these hackers when they are on, tamper with this said "Auto banned". If you don't know what this is basically it's the "banhammer". How does it work? "Auto ban" tracks down any suspicious movement from anyone. Whether it's Kill Aura ( hack client), or God hacks, it will track you down and catch you. How do these hackers tamper with this said "Auto ban". You know the lagg you get, well this is one way to escape "Auto ban". But how do they create lagg? Don't ask me I don't know. Another way is not appearing on the TAB. They hide there username to avoid it from recognizing them. Know what's the deal? It's getting quite ridiculous if you ask me. KitPVP is more of a hack client test arena for hackers to test there skills. I really had enough with all of them. Don't you?

    We can make the ban hammer have SO much power of we decrease the increments to 10 minutes.

    I caught and successfully reported two fly hackers within about 10 minutes last night.

    I know this isn't about kitbrawl but on mc-war I played a game where this one guy joined and he could talk but he had no name when you press tab nor could you see him in game(invisible). now that I think about it, I probably should have reported it. :facepalm:

    Let me say it's not only in KitPvp, I agree with you @LastElite88, it's been in Mc-war, Capture the Flag(sometimes), and other gamemodes. Like it's not only that, it's very concerning because hackers have the power to hack the server, so this can be bad ether way. Let me say I've been in situation were the lagg is caused by a hacker entering a server game type like Creative and without a mod or admin on the server, this hacker can get a head start and try to hack the server and get all the content possible.
    Like some people say it's the developers fault for coding something wrong,but that's not the case (sometimes). A hacker has his/her ways around the situation as possible.
    @Sir_Inge i agree with the 10 minutes thing, but sometimes I feel like that's not what's causing the Banhammer to fail.

    In case this happens, do the following:
    Come to the forums and report the hacker with proper evidence to state your reason.
    Wait in till a mod/admin contributes to do action

    Yes kitpvp is really broken right now, to much hackers, not enough active mods on the server.

    I got banned in HG. I don't even know why! I was just simply playing with the kit spectre. Then BOOM "Banned for hacking". wow

    Auto-Ban is not that accurate, I myself have been wrongfully banned from Auto-Ban too.

    I've been wrongly banned by the Auto-Ban before (BrawlBot's fault)
    So that's why even though i PvP okay-ish, i keep getting these people who somehow attack from from an abnormal distance.

    I've been banned so many times it's hard to even think of how many times that it's happened to me.. if this get's fixed I'll finally be able to go on high kill-streaks without worrying about being auto banned. It does work but not very often. So pls fix asap

    I think the biggest problem with BAC right now is that it works to complicatedly. To detect FF, all you really need to do is spawn a zombie (that disappears after a splitsecond) behind a player every so often and see if the zombie gets hit. If the zombie gets hit. If it happens again, try it again and see if the zombie gets hit. If it does, they've probably got FF.

    For antikb, the autoban needs to detect when a player gets hit and if they take knockback. If they take no knockback for 10 or so hits from 2 or more players, and they're not undergoing any major lag, they'll probably have antikb.

    There's other simple ways of detecting hacks, too. I think the BAC should just automatically do what mods would do to check if a player is hacking. With speed, if someone is moving faster than usual, a mod would ban them for speed hacks, so the BAC should detect if someone is moving faster than usual.

    The autoban is working all right, in fact, it's doing more than it should do, ban legit and unlegit players

    Lag does not avoid BAC. A lot of players who are legit are constantly banned for just simply lagging.
    (Me sitting in @Signatured's TS3 channel all day I hear this type of stuff all the time)

    Also, there is no hack that hides a player's name in tab... and that wouldn't stop them from BrawlBot detecting them if such a thing existed.. did you seriously think that was a thing?

    It is my personal opinion that kNoHax (now known as BAC) is unstable and false bans too many players, and they should focus more on interpreting ways to find out if a player is cheating or not.

    Something I usually argue towards putty or signatured is that BAC should [ stop ] hacks instead of detecting them. It is fought though that it can interfere with hits not being detected, fair enough. However, you should block the simple things like speed hacking.. because.. why the hell let them do it? Sure they'll get banned, but it's still gonna take a minute or so for BAC to catch them. It's pretty stupid IMO.

    They also need to account for lagging clients. I think it should check for someone's ping and if it's over x amount of ping, cancel the flag. However, that has a possibility of being used by cheaters who can make a lagswitch type of thing in their clients. But again, that's where sending a global message to online staff instead of banning would come in. However, if a server starts lagging sending a message would probably be a bad idea.

    I also think instead of having it autoban for 12 hours, it should rather send a global message to online staff so they can inspect for themselves and approve the ban if needed.
    (Or at least just have the ban time reduced to 6 hours or so).

    Hell, it'll be actually hard to detect a player hacking or lagging, due to the similarities.
    I approve your last point, although if staff are not online, we should reduce the ban time.
    I've already been falsely banned twice.
