Go on minecraft build if you want to build stuff. This is ctf where you actually play ctf if you didn't realize ;-;.

I was playing waterfall and they built a spot for archers to get headshots that made playing the game really hard. Also, I believe I saw @Nohox doing this too.

I saw this a numerous amount of times, first it wasn't really affecting the gameplay, but now I see it as affecting gameplay. If you go to the Teamspeak, they do it for fun, but they shouldn't be doing it if it affects gameplay... sure they can build if they do their jobs correctly and it doesn't affect gameplay, but these pictures sure do show a lot...

 

I believe that I might have footage of the game on waterfall but it will take me a while to dig up xD.

 

why would someone sign up to be moderator and then not do the job of being a moderator? moderator is a job, believe it or not, that is necessary for the server to provide a good experience. if you want to tool around to 'have fun' then either go on minecraftbuild or resign from moderator. when you apply for moderator you are making the decision to be mature; if you don't like that then don't sign up for it.

mineplex senior mods don't even get creative ability. why do our mods?

 

What I did was making a little room away from the fighting scene in a mountain that contained some banners and a cake in the middle. I fail to realise how that affects gameplay.

Back on McPvP you guys appreciated when small things were done on CTF, such as renaming items, putting flowers in spots, building little parcours and such. I don't know why it became necessary to shout at mods to stop in a public thread. I agree that this might be a bit excessive and although I did not participate in this one, I will be careful not to do anything people might get irked about.

This is a game, people. If you want to play the same maps over and over, with mods doing nothing else than muting people and banning hackers, fine. I thought interacting with the community was part of CTF, guess I was wrong.

 

I'm totally ok with what they usually build, but a lava sign in the middle of soul sounds bad .-.
It's often harmless fun, but maybe turn the dial back a little.

The waterfall seems like a bit much, but adding flowers and other decor is fine in my opinion.

Yea. If it improves the map and doesn't affect gameplay, great! But don't go placing stuff that does. Personally, I think if someone wants to put a little desk with a flower pot on it in an archer spot on the side, go ahead. Wanna make a engi platform above the middle of the map? Please don't... Mods are there to help people and enforce rules, not troll players...

 

flowers do affect gameplay lol. canadian fort used to be full of flowers/grass but they were all removed cuz of how badly it impacted on the gameplay

 

If I remember correctly the last mod to grief a map got fired and demoted... And that was frostedsquids.
