Medic Glitch or Part of the class?

    I was playing ctf and started messing around with medic. I would throw a snowball on the ground and jump off a building and land onto it. One time I got knocked off and started spamming when I landed on the ground. surprisingly my fall damage was negated. I am wondering if this is intended or a glitch.

    Webs are used in parkour to negate fall damage. Its like sticky water. Its for webs in general.

    It's just a part of the cobwebs itself. It's been used for a while to avoid fall damage, and I've been using that since before the shoot webs was a thing xD

    I think its different than just placing a web on the ground . If you jump off and you thow a snowball while your in mid air, i dont think the snowball will reach in time for you to land on the web.

    They will, but they only register well if you spam them. They register just before you hit the ground, usually, and form a pile, with the top/middle of the pile stopping the fall.

    Yep, that's part of the class, as other people above stated ^-^ It's really useful and it's a great tactic in general.

    I think it works if you use just one

    Isn't it op for a medic to negate fall damage?

    I just know one thing, when you throw just one web and land on it from too high, you'll take fall damage. You gotta either throw a bunch and then land of them or spam them like the others are saying.

    It depends, to be honest. Sometimes, the web will spawn midair and still save you from the fall damage. (Or you know, that midair web can do nothing to help you....)Other times, it doesn't land fast enough, and then sometimes it does...
    There are also times where you can land in the web and still die from fall damage... It's just a litttllleeeee frustrating. XD

    Not really, it's actually pretty hard to do when you're flying through the air (especially with the flag, 100 recoverers trying to kill you and knocking you off of buildings)

    And if 100 recoverers knock you off a building, you should take fall damage from it. Capping is way too easy as soldier/chemist/medic, and these extra gimmicks like webs, complete fall damage resistance and slowness pots just piss off defenders and recoverers.

    Yes, but notice the fall damage ticks aren't sent in enough time. Cobwebs do break your fall, but only if you shoot them in time and land on them.

    Throwing a cobweb midair almost never works. Players move faster than the snowball when falling and it's quite hard to throw the snowball in the correct spot when you get knocked off a cliff

    The video here shows him throwing it right before he hits the ground. If you shoot at the block right below you when you're 1 block up I don't see how you can miss.

    By the logic in your previous post that means you're against soldiers too, right?

    B/C I kind of figured that the constant damage taken by just holding the flag allows for some form of expedient transportation away from the flagroom. Besides, it's not like a recovery soldier / medic can't follow you down.

    Yeah, one hit and they're too far ahead for you to catch up. Chasing as a class with no added mobility is useless.

    So I tested it and it does work going straight down, but while moving, it is unreliable

    it works when I just throw one :/

    I just pretend the snowball is like a mlg water bucket, you only click it once when you are right about to hit the ground
