Capture the Flag "Class" Idea

    Hello.
    I find some of the current kits in Capture the Flag anti-fun, for example Archer, all you can basically do is shoot your arrows and hope you hit somebody, It's not very interesting. You lack damage and armor to be useful in a 1 vs 1 situation. It's also pretty impossible to capture enemy flag without having any escape, or defending since you don't have damage with your stone sword. Also playing against archer is very frustrating, they just shoot arrows randomly and instakill you if they get lucky.
    What I'm looking for with this kit is you get rewarded for good play but punished if you play poorly.

    1. Armor: Iron Leggings. (This armor should have Thorns I).
    Damage: Wooden sword (Sharpness I, Knockback I), 15 Poison II potions that last only 2 seconds each.
    Other: 3 Golden Apples that will give you the following effects for the next 10-15 seconds: Regeneration II, Fire Resistance (so the Pyros can't instakill you, incase you go to steal the flag) Swiftness II, Strength or Resistance (NOT both!).
    Idea: You can fight people, defend the flag or steal the flag depending on what your team needs, or what you want to do.

    1- How dare you say the K word.
    2- This should go under Server Ideas.
    3- Archer IS fun, your just a randee. And it DOESN'T have low damage and armor. In fact, stone swords and chain armor are actually quite good compared to other classes.
    4- This is OP as ****.
    5- Fire resistance doesn't automatically make you immune to pyros. Medic in particular does. And pyros can still deal damage with their explosion and axe, they just can't insta-kill you.
    6- You have to be skilled to be a good archer.
    7- 20 POISON II POTS IS OP
    8- It's CTF, for Christ's sake. Ofc the staff aren't gonna add it.
    9- This is basically a Chemist that's even more OP.
    10- The armor is OP as heck.
    Basically this class is horrible and should never be added.

    Dude, don't make up random classes like this... There is no such thing as a troll kit and there never will be one. So please don't go random about this

    It is extremely overpowered, you don't get punished for bad pvp, it adds nothing specific to gameplay and completely unbalances the game

    Would it be more balanced if we take some of the armor of and leave one piece of it with Thorns I and we give it a Knockback I + Sharpness I to the wooden sword?

    I changed it a little bit and if you read the current post you might understand that I'm looking for a kit that is fun to play and can also help your team in different ways.

    You could try removing the diamond armor, removing the sharpness, taking teh poison pot coutn down to 0 and maybe taking away the thorns. Also remove the golden apples and ask the staff for this to be an April's Fools class. That should get it into the class selector for a bit!

    So you would basically have wooden sword and iron helmet, boots? do you think it should have the sharpness I or would it be OP?

    Oh god i remember now it's called "class". But if you take a look at Spyd3er_6's comment you can clearly see how frustrating it is to play against an archer.

    Archer is not a capturing class, it's a midfield class.
    Golden Apples are overrated.
    It's an ARCHER not a guy who runs around with a sword and have potions. That's CHEMIST.
    Archer is not "Let's shoot at the air and randomly hit someone!" Unless your a guy who is trying to build a montage.
    It takes skill, and if you can't play archer well then your bad with a bow.

    But when I play archer that's what I do and then from time to time into my chat comes message that I "sniped" someone
