    This improves teamwork. It gives healing a boost to the intended when the class was created. People will stick around with medic. And many confused medics will get to learn what it means to be a medic. Those Steves will think: hey! These people are hitting me! Maybe I should hit them back? And as @DJ_M7th said, cooldown can be added to avoid AFK'ing. We all can't deny that todays medic rarely works in a team. People using medic only for snowballs and regeneration I is a disgrace to the medic concept.

    Perhaps rewarding medics for heing would be a more practical thing to do? IDK I'm iffy on the idea.

    I don't know about that, but I think rewarding medics for healing would be a brilliant thing to do!

    with one thing
    if you hit a medic you get a limit of heards (like 3 heards for 1 hit) and a cooldown of 10 sec
    that would be fair

    Tbh guys, this idea from Tom isn't good, it doesn't add team play,it only makes it more easy(why: If a medic is running past you whilst you have the flag as soldier (the soldier is higher up then the medic thats why he didnt see him) ,the soldier just jumps of the high building without asking the medic anything, hits him,full health again, and this doesn't have anything to do with teamwork.. )
    And @TOM_SAYS medic needs his cobweb to give someone more time to do something like: a flag carrier is running past, 10 blocks behind him 4 people arr trying to recover you trow a cobweb to give the carrier more time, if a medic gets trown of an high building he can try to trow a cobweb under him to get no fall dmg,

    You should rather work on a decent guide system for medic if that's all what it's about, Tom.

    Edit: Also, the slowness effect... You'd constantly be able to create a lingering potion surface with your current numbers. 3 Medics and every flagroom is totally blocked.. Constantly, not like with webs only a few times every once in a while..
    Also, you nerfed medic's ability to fall like a soldier onto webs (unknowlingly?). Keep that in mind.

    Busted! You gave an "agree rating" on every comment that is against me original idea! Including Dj_M7th's! Which I also agreed on, that a cooldown would be fair.

    Here we see that we cannot trust anything you have to say and that you are just here to troll.

    Also, soldier is going to get nerfed (read my class change on soldier on the thread). Yet our troll here simply does not adress the fact that the conclusion would be exactly the same as medics who actually healed their teammates and would look for them. It works the other way around as well, recoverers who can hit their medics to stay healthy while chasing the flagcarrier. Also engineer's cake, which doesn't even has a cooldown. And AFK-medic is not an excuse. Even if it was, then we could always add a respawn for being AFK too long. And this works again the same for AFK engineer. Medic who stands somewhere and the flagcarrier happens to see that hasn't got anything to do with teamwork. Maybe the medic is fighting with others? Or healing some other teammates? Our troll here doesn't adress any of that!

    Actually @PanDaniel_ you're being an utter hypocrite. You are the kind of medic that isn't teaming! When I had the flag once and you stood in front of me you didn't heal me. Also one time when I was dwarf, we were in the same room and you never healed me.

    Medic should be about healing, not stunting and jumping from buildings...

    Oh my god. Mage should be about midfielding, not about freezing people, right??? Bull****! Of course! Medic's ability to jump from high places increases its mobility and therefore opens up more possibilities to heal, right?? Also, medic is not limited to support. And that is something I can't repeat often enough, because you somehow don't seem to get it. Medic is a great pyro counter, has the ability to stop assassins, has the health to stop ninjas, and is thus a good capping class as well. And you won't nerf all of that out of medic without giving it anything in return.

    Agreeing with the truth isnt bad, hypocrite? Maybe i was afk.. Maybe you never know and like what plaut said, i think the same.
    And maybe the medic wanted to recove, bc classes can do more then one thing ^_^
    Tom, why do you want to change snowballs actually? I mean they are fine as they are ._.

    This whole vicious circle of class balancing is ridiculous! If this happened 3 years ago I'd have never started donating. A class should be special on its own and at its role. A medic should be a field doctor, period. And I didn't nerf te class. If you actually read the post you would have seen that I added some new abilities. As soon all classes are reworked we won't need a counter for everything.

    Medic: medic will have some more features;
    -Medic shield
    Do you want to make medic a tank? Or a chemist with 20 steaks . I kinda don't like any of these 2. I mean,why does medic need a buff?
    -Take bandage/livingcake
    With cooldown this could be afk- able with shield activated more then normally.
    -Lingering potion of slowness
    @Plautius already told in which way the snowballs are better, and snowballs can get more distance then those potions.

    Omdat je kennelijk niet begrijpt wat ik je al meerdere malen heb uitgelegd, geef ik speciaal voor jou, een antwoord in het Nederlands.

    Dit heeft opzich niks te maken met buffs en/of nerfs, want dit is een HERINTRODUCTIE van de medic class! Jouw weg-van-toetsenbord argument is niet bepaald accuraat, want dit kom je ook tegen (op een zwaardere schaal nog wel) met engineer. Ook werkt dit andersom, want mensen die de vlag proberen te heroveren zijn misschien wel degene die een medic tegenkomen. Ik weet niet hoelang jij dit spel al speelt, maar als dat minstens 2 jaar is, dan weet je misschien wel dat medic toendertijd veel meer gefocust was op het genezen van medespelers. Het is gewoon de bedoeling van de class dat het met een goede focus medespelers gaat genezen. Dus eigenlijk als je hierop tegen bent, dan ben je tegen medic waar het oorspronkelijk voor bedoeld was, of dacht je echt dat de mensen die de class in elkaar hebben gezet de hypothese hadden dat 10% van de medics daadwerkelijk gaat genezen? Dus nu is het wel genoeg met die flauwekul. De lingering potion zorgt ervoor dat de medic een 5 seconde val neer kan zetten ter vervanging van de originele spinnenwebben. Ik heb bewust alleen heavy en medic een schild gegeven van alle classes, zodat er counters zijn tegen archers. Dan vond ik het ook leuk om het medic schild, binnenkomende pijlen te laten interpreteren als healingarrows, maar hoe dat precies in z'n werking gaat is nog bespreekbaar.

    Dus hopelijk begrijp je het nu eindelijk en kap je met dat trollen :wink:

    Tom if there is a tutorial about all the classes everyone would understand medic xD, but you also put some hate on that thread :/
    Im also not a troll, and the potions will probably heal 3 hearts each. -.

    Daniel I consider tunnelvision as trolling. This is not a thread for the tutorial, but the reason that won't work is because it's a one-time thing. Besides, people tend to skip tutorials...

    Also, who is talking about healing potions? It's a vortex of slowness to replace the old medic webs. Nobody wants medic to be a semi ninja... -.-

    You probaly didn't read the thread right bc thats not how it works,
    I was not talking about the slowness pots, i was talking about the heal arrows?
    And did you even think about cobwebs blocking potions from chemist? Which slowness can't do..

    You said arrows will change into healing arrows if shield is used,so look: imma afk with medic in a spot where only headshots work, im blocking with the shield: oh health going up and not Down?!? I mean all those arrows will only heal me

    Yeah if sheilds are added they might become TOO op blocking all projectiles and swords.
