no seriously it is a treat not even the whole community likes. some people find it unnecessary, some even annoying. whoever added the webs might want to think at least half a time before introducing a game-changing tweak as a treat.

i won't tell nom he's awesome for making useless bats fly around if i can't enjoy a ctf game without a ping below 200 or various broken classes along with some bugs. because that is how ctf is for me at the moment, and the ping won't get better by scrapping eu servers when taking over a gamemode (i don't count the desperate last-second merge of mcpvp).

yes, large parts of the community are pissed of at the game meanwhile, regulars are leaving, and with all this going on i won't be cheering for bats. sorry for repeating myself.

 

i have seen a lot of people like just about every variation besides the spooky subzero one, which everyone knows is just a bad map in general. the webs aren't something we shout at the staff for, that's the community map makers themselves. how do i know that? giant pumpkins has no webs, and i made that with friends.

i dont understand you people, if you dont like it then leave. if these coders knew the source of lag by now and knew how to fix it, it would probably already have been done. besides, i really only get lag on free day and thats due to the amount of people.

also, the halloween variations will be here for what, five days total? it's not that big of a deal...everyone seems to just search for something to complain about.

 

why are y'all b*tching so much oh my god its halloween !!!!! this rotation is like a way for the whole community to celebrate this holiday together why you gotta ruin it i havent had any issues with these maps (besides the ones that were already bad maps before the reskin but whatever its like 1 or 2 maps out of the like 6 i play that day & if you hate it so much theres like what 4 other ctf servers you can jump to?)

 

This is CTF, where nobody can be happy.

Like, guys, the game is slightly different for a few days because the mapmakers thought it would be fun to make the game more festive, and everyone's flipping their sh*t because they can't capture the flag as MLGly as they normally can for a few days.

Anyways, it's halloween today guys, so enjoy the spoopyness of it all, b/c it's gone tomorrow. Who knows, with luck you guys will make the christmas reskins not happen either! Wouldn't that be a victory?

 

wow... i never thought we would go this far down that we would dislike a holiday update. this code im going to guess took about 15 minutes, aesthetics that dont affect gameplay doesnt take long to code. if u think about it, the coders know they cant fix all of ctf's problems in a day, so instead they took a few mins to add something cool for hte holidays. if they didnt, ud have bad ctf without anything interesting for halloween. at least u get some type of cool thing out of this. if u find it unnecessary and annoying, its only there for like a week or watever anyway. this is supposed to make the game festive, not to come and complain about some few issues it has. maybe thats y ctf wont ever be fixed, because we cant ever have a thing called "fun". were a bunch of complainers that cant appreciate anything anyone does for us no matter how hard they try, maybe thats y some people quit and leave and find ctf so unenjoyable. i know the coders and everyone else involved is trying to fix all our issues but it cant be done by the snap of ur fingers, and so they want to make us happy with something. but i guess some of us cant appreciate anything that gets done here.

so from my side, thanks to all the map makers who reskinned these for the holidays, whether the maps themselves were horrible or not doesnt really matter, the point was that u put in time to make this pessimistic community somewhat festive. and thanks to @NomNuggetNom for changing a few aesthetics to fit the holiday theme. some of us here like to be festive and this definitely fits that. (im hoping in christmas its red vs. green)

on eu mcpvp ctf i had 7ms

on brawl it SAYS i have 100. but the 1v1 i just had with @wintergreen3 for example somehow gives me the feeling 400 is more accurate. decent gameplay is not possible for average eu players at the moment.

 

not trying to be a party pooper, but most of the time I don't have any delays, only on fridays :L and yes I'm also from eu if people didn't know already

 

Okay! Halloween is over! Cut the crap already what no one likes and turn the maps back to normal.

 

i am not the only one with lag, and you used the expression party pooper in a wrong way.. i have read at least fifteen complaints about lag today, if anyone wants me to record them if they don't believe me otherwise, tell me. i am not experiencing great lag on other servers, games or applications..

 

thats not my problem, nom's problem, or the ctf staff's problem that the brawl network does not have an eu server.

Ikr like seriously guys I feel as if there's nothing wrong with classes except dwarf maybe and then I just won't play if they have 5 dwarves.

 

well, i am just saying lag has increased and i have shown ways to decrease it with zero dollar expenses from brawl side, but they dont even answer to mails. im not trying to be mean to ctf staff. theyre not the problem. but brawl doesnt listen. at all. and so you get pointless halloween updates (currently not synced with the old new colors) instead of some work fixing actual problems.

but, no, thats too much work, lets not. lets make bats instead.

 

Thank you to everyone who helped with these festive touches. I'm just really sorry for you guys that so many people have ruined that by being so ungrateful. I think people have missed the point: yes the maps did affect gameplay somewhat (which if you could make sure doesn't happen so much if there is a next time, would be greatly appreciated) but the fact remains that it was the thought that counts.
