New Spawn

The water and surface in spawn should be balanced out. There should be enough space for people with or without depth strider, right now spawn is serounded with water which is a problem sometimes for people who just started out, did a ton of work to get some good diamond gear and loose it in the water at spawn the first time they go out. I have seen the new spawn and there is enough surface and water, so it's balanced. But the current spawn however has to much water in my opinion. If you don't agree with anything I said here please let me know why.

 

I liked the amount of water on legals spawn. It wasnt a lot, but it made depth strider semi-useful. I don't really like all the water because I don't like the fact that we need to have depth.

 

I don't like the water at spawn it just plain sucks for pvp, even if its a plain iron fight and your opponent jumps into the water all you can do is hit them further away.

 

I agree. A new spawn would be nice. I would like there to be some water though. Trying to get depth 3 adds to the challenge of Survival.

 

The thing is with the current spawn. If you don't have depth you either get ping ponged in the water or the person you are fighting uses it to get away. 1.7 was godly.

 

This has to be a new thing.

 

the fact that depth strider wasent a thing was either notch was a high guy, Was drunk, Or ran out of ideas, Depth is the worst enchant to be faced with. It's such an annooying enchant, there is no skill towards getting the enchant other than grindin levels.

It's just so horrible to be attacked with when you DONT have it.

In my opinion, no water in the next spawn. FLAT spawn, FPS RAISES. END OF STORY.

 

Also something about the spawn of 1.9, it will be a laggy spawn if people go on water with the "frost walker" enchant. And the chat will be spammed for them. The server will have to update the water the whole time from water to ice and back to water and it has to send the chat message aswell. It will be glitchy. So that's a reason not to have water on spawn. (Atleast for 1.9)

Yep. Every time I log on. I would love to 2v2 them with ultra back in 1.7 where op was hard to get and fights were fun.

 

i believe there should be water, its gives pvp a new challange, and if you fall in, it can be good or bad.

i love how the spawn is imo

In my opinion, and the people's who helped mapped it out, the water the correct proportion and placement. You can't have too much space or water, or it makes it impossible for new players to pvp others. 1.8 has made it too much about who does and who doesn't have dept strider. This allows for players with dept strider to have an advantage, but someone without it still has a chance.
