Pyro - the y = someone else

Pyro is mostly used to defend against soldiers. After a player stops attacking as a soldier, they resort to a different class, such as medic. Pyros can't do anything about medics, so its pretty much useless to be one to defend the rest of the game with. That's why you don't see many pyro mains during this time period.

 

as pyro you need skill (reactions)
every1 says that pyro is cheap cause it instakills you
well than assassin and archer are also cheap classes
but who cares about that
if some1 likes pyro he should skill it and be really good

Well, I've stopped playing pyro, mainly because it's boring as hell and too hard to be good at if you don't have <100 ping.

It's just not a class with inspiring gameplay. Even a class like assassin has better gameplay, because it's mobile and you can use stealth. Pyro is just running around (or more often, sitting in a corner crouching) and instakilling people. It's no fun, at least for me.

I played pyro because my computer and internet are too bad for any class that requires ping or accuracy.
I can be a few frames behind as a pyro and still kill some things because I can sit and watch a movement pattern, and fire/swing where I think they're going to be.

Now all CTF is unplayable for me.

Edit:
With the Brawl transition, anyone who had bad internet to begin with only has worse ping issues now. I think a lot of the "bad-internet-pyros" quit.

And the fun part of pyro being OP was killed by a lot of recent map balancing/introduction of water to flagrooms.
