    So...uh...I just wanted to suggest a class idea cuz why not. The main reason I created this class is to counter OP defenses and add new strategy and flavor to the game. So...behold...

    TRICKSTER:

    • Chainmail Chestplate enchanted w/ projectile protection I
    • Chainmail Leggings enchanted w/ projectile protection I
    • 11 Armor Points Total (5.5 Chestplate Icons)
    Starting Hotbar:

    1. Gold Axe w/ sharpness IV (4 hearts damage total)
      1. Special Ability: 1/2 Knockback
    2. 3 steak
    3. Ink Sac w/ knockback II renamed to "Mark of Corruption"
      1. General Ability Description: weakens enemies and decreases their total healthpool
    4. Rose Red Dye w/ knockback II renamed to "Mark of Possession"
      1. General Ability Description: controls enemies' movements
    5. Purple Dye w/ knockback II renamed to "Mark of Teleportation"
      1. General Ability Description: teleports to player (ally or enemy)
    6. Cocoa Beans w/ knockback II renamed to "Mark of Disguise"
      1. General Ability Description: disguises as another player (ally or enemy)
    7. Dandelion Yellow Dye w/ knockback II renamed to "Mark of Charming"
      1. General Ability Description: reflects enemy's first hit against an ally
    8. Compass renamed to "Multifunctional Compass"
    9. Nether Star renamed to "Class Selector"

    Note: the markers will not deal knockback to allies.

    Active Abilities:
    • The Trickster can mark someone by left-clicking them with a marker. A maximum of 2 marks can be used at a time. When a mark is used on a player, that mark cannot be used on any other player until it is activated (in other words, 1 player per mark).
    • When you mark someone with a mark, that mark becomes enchanted with power I (solely as an aesthetic indicator) and is renamed to the player you marked.
      • Let's say you use the Mark of Corruption on Alturia10. The mark will be renamed to "Alturia10", and then enchanted with unbreaking I to let the Trickster know that Alturia10 is marked with the Mark of Corruption.
    • Once someone is marked, you can right-click the respective mark within 2 minutes of marking (time left is shown in XP bar) to activate it. At the end of those two minutes, the Trickster who marked the player will no longer be able to activate the ability.
    • When someone is marked, the marked player will receive wither 0 (black hearts, no damage) for 2 minutes. This acts solely as an visual indicator of the mark.
    • Keep in mind that the Trickster CANNOT mark a player or activate a mark while holding a flag.
    • After the mark is activated, its respective effect is removed and cannot be reapplied to the same player for 2 minutes
    § Mark of Corruption:
    • The marked enemy receives health reduction I (corrupt health boost I; the marked enemy can only have 8 max hearts of health with this) for 10 seconds.
    • The marked enemy receives weakness I for 10 seconds.
    • Can obviously only be used on enemies.

    § Mark of Possession
    • The Trickster, in essence, possesses the marked enemy and controls his/her movements for 10 seconds or until the Trickster himself is damaged.
    • While possessing the marked enemy, Trickster is unable to deal damage to any player or take damage from enemy's allies
    • The Trickster himself is stationary, he/she cannot move until the 10 seconds are up or until he/she is hit by an enemy.
    • Can obviously only be used on enemies.

    § Mark of Teleportation
    • The marked player will receive blindness I + night-vision I for 1 second
    • The Trickster will have vulnerability II (corrupt resistance II) for 1 second
    • The Trickster will teleport to the marked player
    • Can be used on both enemies and allies.

    § Mark of Disguise
    • The Trickster's skin will turn into the marked player's skin for 1 minute
    • The Trickster's nametag (above him) will turn into the marked player's nametag (same username, same color) for 1 minute.
    • If the marked player has a flag, the Trickster will also look like he is carrying the flag. However, the multifunctional compass will still point to the true flag, however.
    • If the Trickster takes damage from a non-melee attack (projectile, explosion, etc.) while disguised, he will lose his disguise instantly.
    • Allies do NOT see your disguise.
    • Can be used on both enemies and allies.

    § Mark of Charming
    • When activated, a 30 second timer begins. If, within those 30 seconds, the marked ally is attacked by an enemy player, the enemy player's first hit will be reflected back towards him. This not only includes normal attacks, but indirect attacks and Instakill attacks too.
    • To prevent complaints declaring, "FORCEFIELD HAX", notifies enemy that his attack has been reflected.
    • Can obviously only be used on allies.

    Counters:
    • FLAG CARRIERS (Hard Counter because Mark of Possession and Mark of Teleportation)
    • Dwarf (Hard Counter because Mark of Possession can drag Dwarf away from flag; also, Mark of Charming can reflect Dwarf's immense damage)
    • Engineer (Hard Counter because Mark of Possession can drag Engie away from turret)
    • Pyro (Moderate Counter because Mark of Possession can drag Pyro away from flag; also, Mark of Charming can reflect a Pyro's instakill)
    • Assassin (Moderate Counter because Mark of Charming can reflect an Assassin's instakill)
    • Heavy (Soft Counter because Mark of Corruption can greatly weaken heavy)
    • Ninja (Soft Counter because Trickster can kill Ninja in 2-3 hits)
    • Assassin (Hard Counter because Trickster cannot block)
    • Pyro (Hard Counter cuz it's Pyro...)
    • Engineer (Moderate Counter because Trickster's disguise via Mark of Disguise can be deactivated if hit by turret's arrow)
    • Necro (Moderate Counter because mobs can see through Trickster's disguise via Mark of Disguise)
    • Chemist (Moderate Counter because damage/poison pots are excellent way to uncover disguised Tricksters)

    Let me know what you think! Please don't just say "I dun like" or "Nice concept", explain why you dislike or like this class concept and PLEASE, PLEASE give suggestions.

    I love the idea, but Mark of Possession is far too powerful. I have images flitting through my head of stealing the flag, suddenly being notified that "You have been possessed by [player name]" - that's assuming there's a notification at all - and being forced to walk into my own spawn.

    I can't think of anything that would balance it. :/ Not even an extraordinarily long cooldown.

    Lowering the amount of time being possessed by 5 seconds should fix that. For 90% of maps, at least. Also, the player possessed can still use his hotbar, he/she just can't control his movements.

    Yeah. If you're possessed, you can drop the flag and have someone else carry it...that is, if you can react fast enough.

    Very thorough. One thing. The mark of teleportation probably shouldn't teleport to allies and enemies. It should just be allies. That might lead to more advanced stratedgy in matches and progressive teamwork. But teleporting to any specific enemy would only encourage targeting, and some of us know how big a pain that is (*cough* @wintergreen3 ). Overall, +1, this would definetly make the game more interesting. Possesing the flag carrier should also be removed, that seems a little to extreme. :grinning:

    This brings a whole new strategy instead of click click click click click click, you have to think and strategize. I can only think of an army of these classes disguising as this one noob and the noob not knowing what is going on and rage quiting. Imagine walking out of spawn to see 10 of you.

    Teleport to any enemy...Apparently your not safe anywhere with the flag, this would promote soldier's wall spamming

    Very well, Tricksters will not be able to teleport to enemies, only allies. Keep in mind that this can stack (1 ally heavy could be marked by 3 tricksters and all 3 could teleport to him at once). As for the removal of possessing a flag carrier, I'll think about it. @lung @oDrageo @ace_blue2

    Dont mind me, just gonna walk in, grab the flag, steak to survive, then teleport back to my own teams base and cap.

    Mark of possession is also ridiculously OP. You can easily make the enemy flag carrier walk into their own spawn (as mentioned before), off a cliff, or back towards your teams defense for easy kills and recovs. If you have enough of these guys on a team, you could probably spam it at the enemy spawn and prevent anyone from stepping outside as well.

    Perhaps no teleporting with the flag? Same concept as "silly powder"

    Also, mark of possession was nerfed to 10 seconds (scroll up in the comments). This isn't long enough for, in most maps, the trickster to make players walk into spawn. Also, players can still use their hotbar while possessed. For example, if trickster was controlling ninja, ninja could use invisibility to help prevent taking damage.

    10 seconds of movement control is still pretty ridiculous. For the sake of balance and easier coding (if this does end up being a class), Id suggest simply preventing the marked enemy from moving for 3 seconds or so, similar to mages freeze spell but no annoying chunks of ice
