A Thank You + Winter's 3 Year Anniversary + A Gift

Today marks my 3 year anniversary on CTF - November 28th, 2012 was when I joined, and I can't say that I've ever been in a community like this one. It has its ups and downs, but overall I think you're the best bunch of people I've met. This server has changed my life. For the better. <33333

I wanted to thank you all for giving me the chance to be in this wonderful community, and I have a small gift, but it can't express the amount of love that I have for you guys. <3 While there's a few people out there that absolutely loathe me, I've been able to overcome the hate through time and not care about it. The vast majority of you have been kind (at least to me lol) people and I thank you for that. Although you may not be tagged in this post, you're probably in that vast majority that I talked about.

I've put different sections of the thread into spoilers so that it's easier to read through and so if you've read part of it already you don't have to read it again.

Spoiler: My CTF history (up until 6 months ago, copied from my 2.5 year thread)

On November 28th, 2012, I had this idea... to look up a Minecraft Capture the Flag server. I had been looking for a new server to play on since I had tried a bunch of big survival servers and I never really understood plots and things like that fully (lol, I was stupid!) I found one server that I don't believe is up anymore, and MCPVP's CTF. I liked MCCTF a LOT better because it was just way better, but I was discouraged by the fact that some of the classes had to be bought. So I would switch back and forth between MCCTF and this other server, but I was very unhappy with the style of the other server, so I eventually left it.

I eventually got around the fact that I had to buy classes. I played the free classes (Heavy, Archer, Medic, and Soldier) and played around with the latter three for the most part. My first CTF game I remember playing in is on Highrise (there's a remake of it now called Lowrise, great map) as defensive Medic and I think we won due to it. Not sure about that though. xP

That summer, I really wasn't sure what to do in CTF. I wasn't very good at the free classes, and I couldn't very well get any of the premium ones. I sorta slacked when it came to playtime for a while, only playing for about 15-30 minutes a day. That late summer however, I found something that changed my perspective on the game completely. I found this person named "ZCOZZ" on youtube... He played Archer on CTF, and man was he good at it. Seeing him play inspired me, and even with my 4-5 chunks of render distance, I managed to start copying him. I saw myself improve here and there, but most importantly, I grew more and more happy with the game. I wanted to play more. I wanted to improve. So that I did.

That fall I got into my very first CTF team, Death From Above. and we won our first match or two, but then the team started to fall apart (I really don't remember why) and I got invited to The Blue Flaggers. I spent the winter there, and in March things weren't working out for me on the team, and I got invited to Delta Force by Agent_Neon (man I miss that guy, he was inspiring to me) after they had told me that I was denied from the team a few days earlier. I've been on DF ever since and I have no plans to leave them. <3

After I joined DF, I really concentrated at getting better at archery, since that's what they recruited me for. And although I'm NOT the best Archer ever, and am far from it, I've gotten better since I joined this lovely team.

Spoiler: The past 6 months...

CTF got out of Beta (August) and CTF Team Matches came back, DF reawakened from their long slumber along with the rest of CTF teams and we started having practices and matches again. I applied for JMOD but failed because I messed up on the interview, then reapplied in September and got it. ;D I'm still really happy about that. Moderating is really, really enjoyable.

-Updated textures for the swords and diamond tools (soon it'll be all of the tools) for my CTF resource pack! It's not much payment for 3 years of enjoyment, but it'll have to do.

Edit: P.S.- Something that I've wondered for a while and forgot to put in:
Does anyone know who the oldest (not in age, but time on CTF) player is? I know a few players have 4 years, but I'm not exactly sure when CTF first went up and if any of those super old people are actually still around, and now I'm really curious. xD
