Look, before everyone is going to portray me as the "big bad bully", I am not doing this because of some kind of grudge. I would forgive unifier if he was sincere, but on every thread he is just screaming for attention. I did this for a friend of mine, about whom he is still gossiping. I do agree that CTF should be just about the game, but how is that possible with people consistently screaming for attention? I just wanted this to stop and so that friend could play this game without people threatening him...

I agree with most of what you said, except this bit.

I'm going to consider anyone who takes insults over a block game personally to be in need of some serious skin-thickening. It's an incredibly outdated, overhyped, underwhelming, overcompetetive, bland, repetitive, meaningless block game.

Nobody should take it (or themselves) seriously enough to make any of this argument worthwhile.

 

I'm not trying to take sides at all, mainly because its late for me rn and I cant be bothered to join an argument or even want to but I feel obliged to post something. Before u read this pls allow my grammar to go down the drain with this cuz I'm nearly asleep lol.

@TOM_SAYS chill, pls. Like honestly, you're saying uni should be banned when I can imagine more people what you banned instead. He has done nothing more in my eyes than react the wrong way to something idk. This doesn't mean u have to be a piece of **** to him like you are on ctf as a freakin mage that follows u around and spellspams u till u die. And before you say anything, mage takes no skill, tom. I played mage the other day bcuz I was bored and the simple idea of it is to turn ur fov up to quake pro and hold right click while switching 'spells'. Anyway I don't want this to turn into a mage debate. We don't need one of those. What we do need is for you stop. Pls.

@Unifier Imo u don't play 'random pyro' and ur a good person.

@PanDaniel_ you're a good person to play ctf with and stuff. I don't know what happened but I hope that everyone stays can and no one quits/gets banned from this.

Overall, I think we should drop this topic and get on with playing CTF. That's what its for, right? For fun?!1

I agree, CTF should just be about the game to begin with. But the thing that makes this issue so complicated is that CTF became quite "personal" over the years. People with "we are who we are" threads, irl gallaries... I hoped CTF would become again like it was a few years ago on mcpvp, but I just realized that that's never going to happen anymore. This will never be "just about the game" anymore, so eventhough I totally agree, it's sadly not going to happen. The reason this is happening right now is not because people lack a thick skin, but because people are getting so obsessed with this game that they even threat people over it... Now if it was just a 10 year old rager or a troll a la mathiaslindberg, then it wouldn't be a problem, but with people obessing over it, it became a never ending circle. @TTD3 I indeed want this to prevent further flame, but sadly this is never going to stop. Not untill people stop personalizing this game.

Although I just saw you made a post asking for a permaban of somebody due to his actions over a block game, which I find hilariously ironic.

My opinion on unifier has not changed and I still stand 100% behind all my former posts. Technically it wasn't over CTF, it was over skype, where he threatened him, BECAUSE over the game of blocks.

What I'm saying is, the kids who play this game have to be protected against the obsessed grown ups.

 

@TOM_SAYS you went one step too far. If there is one thing Daniel can be sure about it's the fact I am his friend. And I trust Daniel he trusts me. If I were to name one person in CTF I really care about it would be Daniel.

By the way, I have never "partied" even once in my life - involving alcohol, that is. So watch who you attack here. I am defending Unifier just like I am defending Daniel, and now that Daniel is out of need to be defended as he is no longer being attacked, I do not see myself as a traitor or anything alike.

And I do not see the CTF community as my family. I see the CTF community as friends I enjoy playing games with, and if I can improve this enjoyment at little costs I will gladly do so. And even if I were "mentally not 100%", that doesn't have anything to do with the fact you accused Uni of something you are yourself

 

we can see ctf as what ever the f we want, group of shtbags, family, tinder? you don't have control over that.
