Idea Very Simple Chemist Nerf

    Chemist is mostly overpowered for 3 reasons: insane damage output, very high health pool and potspam, but all are very easy to fix. Reduce strength damage by .5 or 1 heart, so it doesn't do too much damage. Reduce the amount of healing potions from 10 to 5, but increase the speed of the regeneration so chemists have less instant health regen, but still have regen pots to help their team with healing. Then, add a 1 second cooldown to harming potions. Numbers can be tweaked if its not enough/too much.

    Let's actually come up with a complex and full nerf that will balance gameplay. But this is okay. +0

    Problem is, complex and full nerfs are very hard to come up with, and often don't even work. The engineer nerf was a full and complex nerf and yet people still dislike it and its still banned from team matches. Small changes like these are effective. They're easy to make, probably aren't hard to code (I'm no coder, but I doubt simply changes would be hard to code), and can easily be adjusted if needed. After several years of Chemist being too overpowered, its about time something happened, and this is probably the best way even if its not perfect.

    It matters not if your proposed gameplay change is simple, complex, balanced, logical, and/or good; they will most likely not implement it. Nearly every gameplay change that I have seen proposed/implemented is either claimed to "have been inspired" by community input or to be completely from the ideas of the staff (including the staff that has not played the gamemode for more than 10 hours). In fact, I don't believe that there was even more than 3 gameplay changes that were entirely/mostly based on well-received community input. All in all, proposing changes is a practice in futility. And to add to the discussion, good idea, even though something similar to this has been proposed countless times.

    Honestly I think that most of the time people use the Harming II pots just to knock a crowd of people at the flag away from their path.
    And I think the Strength is balanced.
