    As you all may or may not know, in the beginning of survival 1.8 it was possible to change a spawner from one type to another by hitting it with a spawn egg. For instance, you could change a spider spawner to a creeper spawner merely by hitting it with a creeper egg.

    Apparently @KnifeLegend did just that with a trio of very close Cave Spider spawners, and made them pigmen spawners. This was basically a really OP XP and gold farm. He left the server for a while, then a few weeks ago came back on and showed me the gold farm for my use (thanks). I was able to pull much gold, XP (which I used to make enchant for today's drop party), and Rotten Flesh to trade with my clerics.

    Unfortunately, today I warped in and found out that it was destroyed. The hoppers that the pigmen fell on were removed, as well as all chests. I are sad.

    RIP Gold Farm, ye shall be missed.

    RIP gold farm, you've been wanting us to see it fo' so long :frowning:, I tried doing the same trick, hitting a spawner with spawn egg. It didn't work for me... had so many plans for that...

    I had only seen a pigman spawner once.
    When I was in sigma, some idiot got the warp from an outsider and set a team warp.
    The outsider was not in Hype, Sigma, BA55 or Chaos
    But it seemed like the warp was shared.
    Thinking I would get banned for using it (Which I learned you couldn't), I backed away slowly and warped away.
    I don't even know the cords

    You could get creative and make a villager spawner, which would be very nice.

    R.I.P now @Colonel_Graff shall have to live with only the gold he gets from people buying his stuff.
    Also, that's not even the worst, @LordPandaov had a triple villager spawner that got raided.
    And my witch spawner got raided not to long ago.

    Yes, @Oracle_0912 , I, and a few others share a zombie pigmen spawner. @weapon343 I set the warp in Sigma for Silly and Demonic. They deleted it afterwards. The spawner are still there, but they recently got griefed but not destroyed. I want to know who griefed it to get revenge (raiding them). It's a simple fix though, I should have the grinder working today again.

    I imagine a pile of 1000 villagers in a pit somewhere...

    YES! I had a quadruple spawner back in the MCPVP days, all within 8 blocks of each other at the same y level. I could have made an OP XP farm of that if I could have switched the type...

    Nooo! I just used knifelegends spawner a couple of nights ago and it was fine... Who would wreck something that benefited all of us... Sometimes people confuse me. Revenge is in order!

    Spawners that were changed with an egg are considered "illegal." They are being sought out by mods and are being destroyed.
