I Shouldn't Be Able to Do This

    Not counting a few hours here and there (maybe 10 total), I have not played MCCTF for around a year. Despite this, I still feel like I am capable of bringing criticism to any single aspect of the game. In fact, I still feel that I am capable of explaining the game down to every single little small detail to someone who has never played it before. How is this possible? The game has not changed. Not one single bit. I asked people who I know in the MCCTF community about the current state of the game. The game has not changed. I checked the update log. The game has not changed. Why has is not changed? Is it because the community is content with the current state of the game? Absolutely not.

    Let us see where the majority of the posts mentioning the word "rework" are located. Going through all the results that popped up for the word "rework," I have found 169 posts referencing the word "rework" located inside the CTF Subforum. Only 10 posts were located outside of the CTF Subforum. 94.413407821% of the posts referencing the word "rework" are located in the CTF Subforum.

    Perhaps the word "rework" was a bit too related to CTF classes. How about the word "nerf?" Here, we see less of a trend towards the CTF Subforum for the word "nerf," with 124 out of 187 results being located inside of the CTF Subforum. Only 63 posts were located outside of the CTF Subforum. Out of those 63, around 56 were in the MC-War Subforum and about 7 were in the Hardcore Games Subforum. Of course, I must express solidarity with the community of MC-War. 66.310160427% of posts referencing the word "nerf" are located in the CTF Subforum.

    Now, perhaps we should look at what we get when we ask for the word "buff." Here, we see even less of a trend towards the CTF Subforum for the word "buff," with 102 of 183 results being located inside of the CTF Subforum. 81 posts were located outside of the CTF Subforum. About 80 of those posts were located inside the MC-War Subforum. 55.737704918% of posts referencing the word "buff" are located in the CTF Subforum.

    What are we waiting for? Why not give the CTF community (and maybe the MC-War community as well) an update as a Christmas gift?

    McPvP couldn't fix Pyro after 4 years and considering how much more effective the staff team on McPvP seemed to be than on Brawl, I can't see Brawl fixing it any time soon either.

    That moment when CTF is younger than War (On Brawl) and already has more posts about buffs, nerfs, and reworks than War does...

    "we actually have reworks for chemist, pyro and soldier in the works"
    "yes we will be changing classes, it's in the works"
    "yes we have plans in the works, just waiting for a coder"

    We actually were waiting for a coder.
    The coders, even Nom and Duce, aren't just for CTF, you know. We had changes sorted out. They just were working on other gamemodes.
    Please be careful with who you choose to stab.

    But still, if you guys have so many things planned and ready, why is Brawl not giving you coders so they can finally get implemented? CTF is easily the most restless community in terms of updates (rightfully so, too), and even just a few small nerfs to Pyro would be amazing at this point.

    And the above isn't bashing on mods, its bashing upon whoever assigns coders (assumingly Chap or Putty)

    Just a little more patience will do it. Chap chooses who codes what, and they're not supposed to be coding CTF currently. ^^

    Still thinking there's a chance of a Pyro nerf even though after 4 years of promises of one there's been none is patience...

    Repeating what has already been said won't help but since you're not picking this up.. Everything is set and done and ready. Our coders are not supposed to be working on that, though. They are supposed to be working on something else. I honestly don't understand how people think making more and more of these threads will spead things up. If they're coding something else, Chap isn't just going to stop that and send them over here. It's not like the game is unplayable. Just deal with it for now, please.

    Like I said, I've dealt with it for 4 years. Gonna repeat what I said before, I'm not complaining at you or any other mods, I'm complaining at Chap and whoever else assigns coders. CTF has gone for ages without a big update and the fact that everything is planned is great, but it won't give CTF the big update it needs unless Chap gives CTF a coder.

    I'm done arguing, especially since you've told me to be patient and deal with it even though I've done just that for 4 years.
