Reviving Bacon Brawl/Bits

    A couple of you have asked me what happened to Bacon Brawl once I started getting back into CTF after a little hiatus, my response was:
    "What is there to talk about"

    Honestly, there have been very little updates besides glitch fixing and the like. Updates were the main focus. Another factor is that Brawl's forums are severely underpowered in appeasing aesthetics compared to Discourse, where my formatting skills shined. Things such as map reviews, match reviews, community events etc were really just side information that could be found out by searching the forums.

    I'd want to know, would people be interested in Bacon Bits reviving for the sake of community news rather than CTF updates?

    I also want to find another name for it too, so names would be appreciated.

    YES! BRING BACON BRAWL BACK! IT WAS VERY INTERESTING TO READ AND IT GAVE CTFERS THAT NEVER LEAVE THE CTF SECTION OF THE FORUMS INFO ON THE OUTSIDE WORLD!

    I could probably just do an Interview standalone series if people want it, I can do map reviews on the map threads themselves, and match overviews are kinda obsolete when most people do videos of them anyway

    Personally I'd just like to see something interesting and kinda fun. Why? Because consistently talking about the lack of updates, people raging in the chat and on the forums, or how completely $crewed up CTF is really depressing, pointless, and redundant. CTF is a game after all.

    Make it like a small, 1-page news paper. There could be a comic/story section, a section for e-sports, a section for other gamemode 'world' news, and the main headline could cover new ctf updates when there are some, but when there aren't they could cover ctf-related activities, like the new Discord server, or the CTF UHC tournament. Stuff like that. You could also cover any giveaways and link them to the newspaper.

    As for a name, possibly the Daily Brawl or some other cheesy newspaper name like that :stuck_out_tongue:

    I can tell you that Noms doing things that are going severely underappreciated at the moment and comments like these don't help.

    Excluding Skywars, which a lot of CTFers don't play, people aren't feeling any changes. The sad reality is, no matter how much Nom codes, people will only care if its actually added into the game and its actually what people like. I can't really comment on how hard the admins are working, but considering changes are scarce, it doesn't affect much.

    A server I play has taken 2 years to make a map around 5000x5000, with nearly 100 quests, 80 3D textures, unique mob AI (mobs teaming with each other, running away when they're low on health .ect), boss mobs and more. It was obvious the staff there were working very, very hard but no-one appreciated this until the change is actually being added. Tonight the change is being added, and the staff are getting a lot of praise and compliments. This'd be the same story if something was actually added to Brawl after we've waited so long.

    Issue is Nom doesn't exactly own CTF to make changes anymore than he did when he worked for hclewk.

    You guys all harp on @NomNuggetNom for not doing any work while apparently forgetting that he's just as invested in changes in CTF as anybody else. He, specifically, came from our community, and when people direct their anger and disappointment at him specifically you come across as extremely disrespectful to both the ****ty block game and the people who inexplicably love it enough to code it.

    If the game isn't updating, I'd recommend talking directly to the guys who own brawl, respectfully goddammit, and petition for change there instead of harping on and on about 'how change isn't implimented' without actually doing anything to make the changes.

    TL;DR, if you want change, tell BRAWL DIRECTLY and not Nom. You can post all you'd like in our backwater forum, but it won't do **** unless you actually go to the source instead of waiting for the source to come to you.

    And we can start by getting rid of this goddamned motherfukkin' chat filter! We're all big kids, we should be allowed to be exposed to some fukkin' swearing!

    Last time I checked it was because Nom can't just change the game whenever to whatever he wants. There's a bunch of factors like mod/staff approval and time allotment to keep track of.

    I know for a fact that Nom, or at least was, hella dedicated. Something's obviously janked up.
