    not trying to say that the developers are slow, not at all...
    just still waiting...

    Necro is so weak it actually is kind of sad.

    Did I say kind of? I meant really sad.

    +1 Necro should get a buff in someway, for them to be a little more effective.

    but at the same time they should remove the necro glitches where you can glitch your spawner into an unbreakable block near the opposing team's area and then you hide

    at the rate the nerfs are going, necro will be just as powerful as every other class without any buffs needed

    Why do people say this? Only one update has been issued, and everyone acts like it is the end of CTF.

    I don't know. Lots of people say it. Pyro is still incredibly strong, even with the instakill removed. Sure, you can't instantly kill someone anymore, but you can still easily bash in their skull.

    And that one update has managed to:
    1. remove the one redeeming factor that justifies playing elf
    2. nerf chemist to the point of it being weaker than heavy in just about every aspect
    3. make pyro extremely weak, especially in defensive situations, essentially ruining defence
    4. implement such a complete non-nerf to soldier that it's completely insulting to the mains of the classes that actually got nerfed

    1. Uh, making 2 arrows be used when you use air arrows is removing it? I would say it just makes it more of a timing and non-spamming ability now. I know people who still cap with it.

    2. Honestly, I do completely agree, the chemist nerf was overkill when it should of been the healing pot that got that mana nerf thing.

    3. Frenzy mode where it can pretty much bash in faces as said before is ruining defense? Pyros are still good.

    4. The nerf was making it so soldier, like elf, cannot be spammed as much anymore. The nerf makes it easier for the recovery while soldier can still scale stuff, just cant keep spamming it when they panic.

    I wouldnt call this the ending of ctf, but i do agree with the chemist nerf.

    1. Yes, it effectively removes more than half of its usefulness. You can fly half as far now, and don't forget that the arrow pool is universal across four abilities, so it indirectly nerfs three other aspects of the class. I know people who cap with archer and pyro, does that make the class good?

    3. Frenzy mode can only be activated once every four hits. I don't know why everyone is acting like every time you see a pyro, frenzy mode will be active. Even if the pyro does have it available, all you need is a friend to go in and distract while you take the flag out as soldier. Defence is ruined because the class that is supposed to hard counter the main capping class - soldier - no longer does that effectively. Let's not forget that the soldier won't be head-on fighting the pyro, and they can get into a flagroom and fly out in about 5 seconds on most flagrooms.

    Frenzy can also be easily avoided as soldier by flying upwards.

    4. You don't need to spam as soldier to get upwards fast. The fact that the nerf only addressed panicky spamclicking shows how utterly ineffective this "nerf" is. You also can't compare elf to soldier because elf always had a limit on its flying, and couldn't be limitlessly spammed.

    As someone who plays recovery, soldier recovering is no amount easier. Decent soldiers almost never run out of wallclimb, and it certainly helps that pyros are unable to stop them reliably in most flagrooms. I've seen soldier mains cap just as easily as before, and I've capped a couple times with soldier and I've never needed to worry about wallclimb running out. As I've said, it's a non-nerf to mains of the class and insulting to mains of other classes that were nerfed ridiculously.

    I'm not calling it the ending of CTF but it seems like the people in charge of making these decisions, for the most part, don't know what they're doing. Another update like this and yes, CTF might die.

    I agree with most of what you are saying, but it doesnt matter what side of the argument we are on, the staff will do as they please. I honestly just try to see the brightness in stuff.

    Who cares about the other nerfs right now...necro is close to useless at this point! :stuck_out_tongue: A buff/rework would be nice but at this point I would be happy knowing if I am waiting for something that won't even happen in the near future. I figured a necro rework would be high priority in the update as it is without a doubt the worst class by far but I was obviously wrong. No hate whatsoever, just wondering if there will be an update in the near future.

    I actually kind of agree with muffles for some of this stuff :I (I know, right??)
    1. For elf, I'm kind of torn on it. It was fun to play with the whole wind ability and everything, but flying halfway across the map wasn't fun on recovery.

    2. I kiiinnnndddd of disagree here. If a chemist uses the potions wisely and really utilizes the poison, chemist can still beat heavy pretty well. It'll take a good amount of their health potions now though, which I think is good.

    3. Okay now that I've played it a good amount, it has its ups and downs. It's still powerful. You can still kill people very quick with it, frenzy or not. I think the problem now is the map structures. Most of them are just too soldier biased and

    4. with the nerf on soldier, it really doesn't do much. Soldiers can still climb just about everything in their path to avoid recoverers, especially with all the aesthetic stuff on the maps like Castle Village I think it was. They can run just enough to keep 2-3 climbs in their xp bar, so they can still completely avoid recoverers stuck on the ground.

    I've said it before, I'll say it again. To be honest, CTF needs a whole new rework that isn't completely based off of counters. A counter gets nerfed due to the OPness towards other classes (i.e. soldier/heavy v pyro) and it makes the classes it's supposed to counter more OP if not done good enough :L

    That being said, the update is a step in the right direction, at least.

    OH and yes, necro buff ^-^ but not like how it was MCPVP days -.- with like 8 speed III zombies that had like 9203876978612897367281 health. And followed you everywhere. EVERYWHERE. They're watching you now.

    1. I suppose it's map dependent. I can see how it'd be annoying as hell on smaller maps like Blackout (since you can just fly up to the roof of the middle building then fly down into your flagroom) but on most maps all your 12 wind elements probably won't get you far - and you'd have no more arrows to spam earth at recovery. I agree that it was slightly unbalanced but there are far worse problems than a fragile class that can fly a bit.

    2. Keep in mind CTF isn't a series of 1v1s, though. A chemist might be able to beat a heavy (though I find it unlikely if both of them know what they're doing), but I still think heavy is better at midfield, roaming defence, flagroom defence and offence. Only thing chemist might beat heavy at is support.

    3. I'm not denying that it's powerful, but you do need quite a few hits to kill someone. It can excel at random killing at mid or on offence, but given that its current counters are offensive/capping classes, it's too weak on defence. Keep in mind in a match scenario you'd have a soldier with the pure intention of getting in and out of the flag, and probably a heavy/ninja in your face as a distraction. Pyro is powerful enough in regular games to please crowds but it's definitely not good enough when compared with the offensive classes it is supposed to counter.

    I honestly think counters can work in CTF, they just need to be thought out correctly and balanced from day one (slight tweaks could be made, but no class should be as strong as archer or as weak as necro). There's no use of classes if everyone is essentially on a playing field, or else it becomes an overglorified HG with flags.

    It probably won't get removed due to the amount of people that paid for it. Besides I'd rather have it reworked than have a whole class removed just b/c it wasnt very good.

    Necro is actually ok when fighting. It's pick can break engineer's stuff and it has 6 steaks so it can tank a bit. You just have to have good PVP skills.
