    Barrier blocks are transparent just like glass, so unfortunately you can glitch into them as ninja as well. :/

    Natural light travels infinitely downwards so long as there isn't anything blocking it. Besides "looking cool," it is actually a great way of lighting up the map without placing glowstone and stuff everywhere.
