    Interesting, to say the least.
    nice name pun, js lol

But anyway, about what you said about not being challenged and such and still wanting to be involved with Minecraft... maybe CTF isn't the place where you'll find your fun days again. Although there seems to be absolutely no one who actually "quits" CTF and never comes back, there are a few exceptions. You may or may not turn out to be one of them. But the CTF game mode and possibly even your own playing experience has already reached its peak; if you want something better, it's time to move on.

My recommendation: start up your own Minecraft server. Challenge your mind with management skills; organizing, well, everything, since you're fully in control of the server; and if you do this, I can't emphasize enough, learn Java and write at least some of your own plugins. Running a server is a good source of ambition and a constant brew of ideas (lol I use the word "brew" because I have literally no idea what else to use). Dealing with the catastrophes of griefers and hackers--either in-game cheat hacks or DDoS attackers who may get past a cheap host's firewalls--will present you with pretty real challenges, in some cases making you decide whether you even want to keep building your server or shut it down entirely.

The other main benefit I can see you having in this experience is the people you'll meet. It's amazing, the great community and friends you can form on small servers in general, whether it be your own server or someone else's. It's so much better than what you could possibly have on your average large-scale server with a bunch of different game modes (although CTF is an exception imo ), and there's infinitely more opportunity to have fun with your friends when you can do literally whatever you want on your own server, i.e. set up random PvP matches, spawn a bunch of mobs to kill for fun, build a bunch of stuff with a simple "/gamemode <username> 1" command--these are all just simple examples, the possibilities are endless.

Not to step on dreams here, but the first thing you should do is not dream big, don't have ridiculous expectations for your server, like having it be the next Brawl or whatever (quality, player count, take Brawl for whatever it's worth). I can't even remotely guarantee you'll make any kind of a profit off of server "donations," so you should have some good capital going into this ($10-15 USD a month will get you an okay server, $20 or more to get something that can support >8 worlds and more than ten players at a time [if you're lucky enough to get that many players online at once]). The main goal here is to have fun, anyway; if you focus on the business, you will rage at perpetual bankruptcy, at least for the first few months of running the server. So just have fun.

As I said, making your own plugins is almost a necessity; though I advise you to look very hard for what you need before coding it yourself, like I failed to do a couple of times xD. Not only will this provide additional mental stimulation for you, but there's such a feeling of unlimited freedom compared to relying on what the public developer community has available. You can do exactly what you want with your server because you're the one making it that way, not someone else (although you will rely heavily on tons of other plugins if you don't plan on making everything you need from scratch :stuck_out_tongue:). Not to mention, you may get very interested in coding and go other places with it; I know I have. The main reason I'm suggesting coding in the first place is because you said you're mentally bored, and the fact that you do well in school seems to indicate that you're a good thinker; programming satisfies both of these areas.

So that's 'bout it. An MC server seems to me to be a good solution for each of the problems you've listed in your main post--while it may not exactly be a solution to CTF problems, you could still make your own CTF server :stuck_out_tongue:. It's hardly a joke, really, you actually could, as demonstrated by the bunch of other CTF servers there are. But yeah, take all this advice or leave it, since you kind of need to take all of it if you're to take it at all. Hope ya find some fun in life.

Thanks a lot, that is a great idea.
Unfortunately, I do not have the time nor the experience to create a server, but I hope to in the future.

Time is a big thing, yes, but skrew experience :grinning:. Really, you don't need any prior knowledge going into it cuz you'll find information everywhere, and you'll also learn from experience.

You have false hope. Life offers nothing but sorrow. Don't look to God either. If he exists, he is a sadistic being for weaving such a world for us.

It doesn't matter. There are those who wish to have a laugh, so let them have it. Let them think that they can make an impact and throw shameful, brash, and insensitive speech. It does not bother me because I expect this. I mean, everyone's human. But in a way, it is true. It's true to anyone who believes it. So don't. Life is full of discovery, creation, wonder, and imagination.

    Over the rainbow. Actually:
tl:dr He found CTF. He likes it. Later, he's in a some kind of figurative crisis. Then he says you MUST N"T GIVE UP and nothing CTF related. I cringed reading it again.
