Idea Stopping Changing Classes and Keep Them the Way They Are.

Discussion in 'Capture the Flag' started by __JackFrost__, Jan 27, 2016.

?

Should classes stop being revised so often?

  1. Yes, they are being tweaked with too much and it gets frustrating.

  2. No, I like how they try and make all the kits equally powerful and useful.

  3. Only revise classes when ABSOLUTELY needed, and the class is CLEARLY overpowered. Not just a little.

Plain and simple: Stop changing the classes so much.

Players quit because of this sole reason, and I think it's ridiculous. A lot of the classes are not even fun to play with anymore because they have been edited so much here and there that I can't even keep up with what the kit can and can't do nowadays. I can't even think of any classes that have gotten buffed recently. The only thing that happens to classes is they get WEAKER and LESS USEFUL.

    Thank you for reading.

Because it's totally fun to get instantly killed by pyro with no way to counter it other than using a very ninja vulnerable class, am I right?
Because fighting a mobile armored ninja is fun, right?
Because spells in your face from 25 blocks away is cool right?

Its not the fact that they rework that is the problom... but the rework that they put out (Pyro, Dwarf, Engie, Necro, Elf, and Mage need reworks)

I disagree with you. Medic was the only to counter pyro (most of the time) and then you won't wanna play a more fun class, like Mage or elf or ninja etc... But now pyro needs some skill now! it was boring just to sit at the flag and just one-shot everyone. (Now peeps won't call us noobs anymore for using pyro!)

I see what you mean, but pyro still involved skill to play. It was a vulnerable class with only full leather armor, providing ninjas with an easy kill. If taken by surprise, pyro's usually couldn't react in time.

If they are highly skilled, yes. Otherwise, not usually. Ninja's deal huge damage to them.

Uhh they were hard to kill for me. And even if you killed then you'd burn to death.

Ah, it wasn't that bad for me. Different opinions, of course.

Honestly. The only few classes I see that TRUELY need improvement are Necro and Dwarf. Otherwise, stay out of it.

Judging by your opinion on this topic, as well as the poll results, you've made things worse for yourself

I totally agree. Classes are being changed way too much, some even ruined like pyro. Sure, the old pyro was kinda bogus because it had the instakill, but a pyro can easily be killed, they have weak armor. Being a long time Mage I'm scared because of all the talk of change now.

I know. The CTF Holiday Update was a disaster. 2008 all over again!!! (and that time we ended up with Obama!)

Legit question: is the mage nerf actually that bad? I mean a decrease of 7(?) blocks doesn't seem significant given that 18 blocks(?) is still impossible to meelee from while being attacked by a mage.

Please, it's not that hard to keep track of. Look at the update log. If you main the classes that get tweaked, you'll notice the difference. Pyro is no longer instakill, very noticeable, and the basics of the frenzy mode is explained in-game; soldier's limited wall climb is also obvious; initially, chemist was borderline powerless compared to its former self, quite obvious when you threw a single health potion, and since it's better now, the difference honestly hardly matters, the most it does is ease potspam.

Oh yeah, and one who plays the class certainly notices elf's difference. >.>

Mage got a damage nerf too. Either one was fine but both was too much.

Ahh gotcha. Damage nerf works better imo (cuz I'm not the one who plays mage lol)
