Idea Elf bugs

    heya people and @NomNuggetNom.

    Since the pyro solider chemist holiday updates, elf has faced some bugs. (Although I am frequently wrong and they may be intentional) for one, the elf shield deflects projectiles but no longer deals the effect to the person firing them - so you can't headshot archers anymore etc :frowning: alongside this, a medic healing an elf will not restore its arrows (was this intentional?) also, please bring back 1 arrow per flight or give us more armour, it's really painful to have to play & I feel like nerfing a class from the opinion of a couple players is unnecessary(plautius)... Regardless of this like I said I am wrong sometimes, so let me know what you can do! Thanks @NomNuggetNom :smile:

    The two arrows for flight was because the mods didn't want the elfs flying halfway across the map, getting the flag, and flying another halfway back. But I still think 2 arrows for flight is to much. I have also had trouble with pyros being able to light me on fire using the bow at close range even when I have the shield up, and mages sometimes don't take damage when I block with the shield.

    Long story short,
    elf needs some work

    oops, turns out you can headshot archers but things like medic webs and mage freeze spells still dont work @Plautius

    Can confirm, pyro arrows don't get blocked at close range. Also a lot of the time they don't get blocked from long range either.

    @MightyCharlie Can also confirm your problems, the shield occasionally doesn't headshot archers with a direct hit (although it seems to be working a lot more for me as of late... I did notice that at one time it was broken on all servers except Server 1). And medic webs also often are not blocked; mage spells I'm not sure about since I try to stay away from mages in general :stuck_out_tongue:.

    I thought the arrows did get blocked, it's just that you're so close the explosion radius catches you on fire.

    Yes, but I've had several instances where a pyro would shoot me from like 6+ blocks away and the arrow would hit me, not the shield. (Or maybe it didn't hit me, but the explosion still went off and the arrow didn't deflect.) I tried having someone whose name I'm blanking out on to shoot me repeated times with a pyro bow, some of them blocked while others didn't.
