Idea Old Maps Re-implementation and Class Limits

    The amount of maps that have been removed is immense. The amount of maps that have variations is nearly impossible to measure. Times change, and I say some of these maps should be tested and re-implemented. Some classes that used to be OP have been nerfed (Soldier, Ninja, Pyro, Engineer, etc. Though Dwarf and Archer haven't been reworked/nerfed), meaning that some maps that made these classes overpowered could actually get a second chance. I've seen that when a mod is on sometimes old maps get played just for the sick or fun of it.
    This is mostly a suggestion to the mods: Make an event on a weekend or so where for a settled amount of time different variations of a map, or even different maps if they don't have variations, will be introduced and played. Players will then get to vote on them and the re-implementation of the map will be taken into account. Creating a thread for this event would be a good way to start.

    Another idea I wanted to discuss is Class Limits. The class limit should be based around the amount of players that are playing on a server, the map that is being played, the firepower and role of said class and an AFK system. For example: A class limit for Heavy should be 5/7 because 3 of those are regs that know how to play the game, other 2 may be some newbies that just joined CTF and the remaining 2 are AFK. These 2 AFKs are a waste of space for other players that want to play said class. It could work in 2 different ways: Kick the AFK players after 5 minutes of inactivity or make it so that if a player is AFK it doesn't count towards the class limit.
    Another example could be this: Dwarf has a 2/3 player limit because as Dwarf is a class mainly for defense it won't be running around like a Heavy. A Heavy could be playing defense, offense, mid or random-killing.
    This idea will need further discussion since it's a little bit tricky and hard to implement, and it may not even work. It's a suggestion after all.

    pretty much all of the maps were removed because of a major gameplay flaw within them. if you name some maps that you want readded then i'm sure people could tell you why they were removed and what the gameplay flaw was, therefore giving a reason as to why they wont be readded

    what was sphinxs gameflaw? if it was because of engineer blocking spawn, thats been stopped. It can be added again

    very archer op
    the map was flipped, not rotated, meaning you could get across the map very quickly with the flag, especially as ninja
    very poor map design so it was easy to get lost

    I dont remember it being that op for archer, but then again, i dont remember many maps from the old times, and i missed a ton of maps on my 2 year break.

    You should look at the sphinx flagroom. Here's a hint, it's 2x2 and headshotable.

    Really like the idea tho

    You could at least try making an event even if the maps are not going to be readded. Just for fun! It would bring "activity" and attention to the gamemode, as well as nostalgia to old players. As I said in this thread, times change and classes do so. Just give it a try.
    I'm calling this one out now, some old maps should get a rework and get readded. I don't see it as a must but it's a possiblity.
