    Should archer and assassin be removed of instakill? There are plenty of reworks that support this idea. Plz leave opinions and comments below.

    It depends-
    If we are to remove insta kills, we must balance out the healing process of the game, namely medic. There should be no imsta heals in a game with no insta kills.

    This is kind of where we get into the gameplay itself and how it would be affected. Pyro's instakill got taken away. Soldiers and other classes can now get out of flag rooms much easier. That means recov is going to be a lot more important. What classes are extremely important on recovering? Archer, assassin, and ninja. Take away the instakills and it will be much more difficult to recover a flag, especially off of soldiers.

    There are issues with both classes:

    If you take away the archer instakill, archer will probably become extremely ineffective. I don't know about you guys, but I only hit maybe 2-3/5 shots I take, at most. 9/10, those 2-3 shots i hit are not in a row, hence why elf isn't very effective at killing things. So an option where you have to hit them twice in a row is not a valid option. There's a suggestion out there of a "bleed" after the shot, where the shot does 9 hearts damage and after a second it does another heart of damage. So if you don't heal or steak, you're dead. That's the best option I've heard so far. But again, how would this affect recovering off of a class like soldier? The soldier rework really didn't affect it much at all, it can still relatively climb spam and avoid all grounded recovering classes. So if an archer hits them with a shot, they can just steak and keep going, climb spam more, and get a medic eventually. There's other problems, but too lazy to get into it + its midnight. Archer is annoying, yes. I play against it many times, I know what it's like. But it's kind of a necessity atm.

    With assassin, you take away the instakill and replace it with true damage or something and it's basically a ninja with no eggs and pearls. And screw this, this post is too long and I'm tired and lazy so I don't feel like typing anymore on this so gbye!

    Instakills need to be removed, we don't have any say in it.

    You are correct that if Archer and Assassin were reworked into non instant kill forms by Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead they would indeed, suck on a magnanimous level. But seeing as @NomNuggetNom and the moderators tend to be a few IQ points smarter than the Potatoheads this is not a likely possibility.

    Well, I don't play ctf much, but I'm just going to give my opinion anyway.

    What else would Archer do without insta-kills, are you forgetting about the non-donators?

    I have yet to see anything that would be a good non-instakill substitute, and there have been loads of ideas, Mr. Potatohead

    When noobs actually try to argue a point about instakills lul

    Every instakill needs a way to be blocked then it's fine. If you could deflect snipes by blocking, yay for that. Then again, pyro's frenzy and dwarf's sword (don't tell me they're not OHKO) need that too...

    same as @PanDaniel_ above. There isn't a debate about this anymore, it's been confirmed they're going

    In terms of my personal opinion, I don't really care whether they have it or not, so long as the class still performs the same role and can be balanced through other aspects of the class to make it fair

    If one class loses instakill capability, then all the classes should. But it has been stated that instakill will eventually be completely removed from the game, so these polls and threads about it are nonsense.

    I agree sorta. I believe it should be possible to do 10 hearts damage in a very short amount of time. But not all at once.

    I honestly would not remove instakills for both class. Especially assassin, as assassin mainly uses instakill.
