"Organization and order" is the reason I'm suggesting a CTF Off-Topic section; the "[Or stop moving our threads]" part of the thread title was edited in, inspired by @RTKno1's post:
There's no reason to be concerned about posts racking up likes from nonconstructive content (if I heard correctly, I'm aware that staff applications are influenced by forum ratings). The current Off-Topic section has ratings disabled; the same could be done for CTF's Off-Topic, as well as the other gamemodes.

With a separate section specifically for off-topic randomness, that strange chaos is nice and tucked away and out of sight unless intentionally viewed.

Frankly, I'm not sure it's much of a problem. The current Off-Topic section could still be used to talk about randomness with all of Brawl, instead of your friends at your specific gamemode--the concept of a larger audience alone will likely be reason enough for it to remain in use. Even if its usage declines or becomes nonexistent, it's not costing Brawl hundreds of dollars a month to leave the megabytes or gigabytes worth of forum threads just sitting there; even if they are taking "too much space," it'd be pretty mean on Brawl's part to delete a bunch of threads where players have shared fun experiences and conversations so that no one can see them again.

I don't believe this will work still. Don't forget that players use the off topic area as a means of being funny and entertaining. Putting up a wall between the ctf section and the rest of brawl seems silly and uneeded.

The actual off topic section would be a place where everybody could talk about something. The off topic sections in each gamemode would be where the certain community could have a discussion about things other than something pertaining to the server.

What if you wanted to talk about something other than Party, but address it to the Party players? You'd have to put your thread in the Off Topic section. Now, how many Party players would just go and read all the things in the Off Topic section? Chances are, not many. You would have to either: Personally tell all the Party players to go look at the thread, or you'd have to tag them all. That's a lot of work for just one thread.

Our off topic posts can be funny and entertaining. Ever read any of Admiral's "Secret life" ones? Nom is a model who is used to sell hair dryers.

We're not saying to put up a wall between CTF and the rest of Brawl. We're saying that it would be nice to have a place where, as stated above, we could put an off topic post directed to the CTF community without having to physically tell people about the post or tag a ton of players.

Hm. Good point there. Although I feel like people would only use those then. :/ idk. Besides, I'm not one to make decisions. I see you're point about sharing in the community without talking about ctf, but idk.

    My thoughts on this:

I would love to be able to post off topic posts directed towards the ctf community alone. This is very important to me and many others. I'll give an example illustrating why it is important:

Imagine if I wanted to have a discussion about star wars, how would I do it? I could go to Facebook and make a post asking my friends about thoughts about the series and maybe have some discussion. I could also go downtown and ask some strangers to have a discussion with me about star wars. Seeing the two, I would prefer going to Facebook rather than talking to strangers. Now apply that to this situation. I do not know the majority of brawl players nor their communities. I wouldn't care much about their opinions, nor would I feel like discussing with them much. However, I do wish to discuss with my communitiy, since I know then and I would feel more engaged in that discussion.

Hopefully that illustration helps to show why we want this off topic section, and why we do not want to go to the general off topic sectiom.

I hate you for getting to that before I did.

The amount it would be used would certainly make it seem like that only it is being used, but the normal CTF discussion section's usage should remain very much the same. The threads you see posted in this section represent the portion of the community who actually make threads talking about the game of CTF; the CTF Off-Topic would contain just about everyone because who doesn't like to talk about fun stuff with friends?

@_Featherpaw_ Don't worry, it would only add posts. I for my part just systematically don't post in the current off-topic section because there are like 3 CTFers active there, maximum xd
Also nice how you say it seems unneeded ignoring more than 3 pages of discussion.

We need a wall to make Brawl great again as well. A real win-win situation.

Lol forgot this existed for a bit.

Still think it has enough ratings and positive discussion to happen tbh.

Prior to Brawl the flag was a wool block entity and not a banner

They changed it because they were too lazy to switch the name to capture the wool, so they made it capture the banner(i mean flag) instead.

    Actually the banner is better.
-It is more visible, instead a small piece of wool bobbing up and down on top of you, there is a nice big banner on top of your head.
    - Its easier to spot, instead of looking for a block of dropped wool on the ground, the banner is nice and tall and ez on the eyes.
But tbh the wool is still better
