    I'd be fine if they changed it to Sharpness V instead of IV. Also, to have infinite eggs, but to have a cooldown to prevent eggs spams. (that gets rid of that issue currently present)

    Sharp5 is a start, yes. But it doesn't fix very much as ninja's point in recovery isn't necessarily to rid someone of all their steak but rather to n-shot them. two-, three- or four-shots were largely impossible back when we had Sharpness V for a bit on Brawl but are of course annoying for other classes as they have less steak left - with no benefit for the attacking ninja.

    Keep in mind an egg cooldown removes the possibility of knocking people away - blindness doesn't stack anyhow.

    Eh. Speaking as a defense/recovery main nowadays myself I can tell you that some of the classes up there are easier than you think.
    Heavy: 90% chance your dead unless in a group
    Soldier: 50/50 shot, depends on location, how wallspammy a soldier is, and current health
    Medic: Decent chance to win, strafing saves lives
    Archer: for some reason ic annot kill archers for ****, despite them being worse than medics in every way
    Pyro: EZ as long as your not on fire
    Ninja: ninja wins. 10/10 times
    Chemist: distract the chemist from potting and you got yourself a ded chemist
    Assassin: if assassin decides to nub it out and assassinate than yur screwed, otherwise 50/50 shot
    Engineer: with turret and ded, without, ez
    Necro: Same as soldier, just with less jumping
    Dwarf: Your ****ed if over level 4
    Elf: Ninja generally wins
    Mage: depends on spellspammyness of mage

    As a ninja recov loser/tryhard, sharp 4 means you might as well just play assassin instead (which alot of people have been doing).

    Aside from the almost impossible solo recov from medic+anything teams, any capper that decides to fight back against a ninja will in general kill the ninja (solo ninja, not a group of ninjas), you cant strafe a chemist because damage pots break strafe and the chemist will kill you with 2 dmg pots and 1 sword hit before he even needs to bother to health twice, soldiers tank your hits and kill you in around 3 hits, a well placed medic web limits ninja strafe movement around a medic and if stuck, forces the ninja to waste 2 hearts to pearl out, and ninja recovery from other ninjas boils down to who had the most health when they first pearled. I feel almost useless in matches because a solo ninja cant make any difference against a capper with an escort, even if you're on your own teams side. In casual games people complain about ninja def/recov only because they fight ninjas in large flagroom maps with a ratio of 5 ninjas to one capper, (teamwork op btw).

    Even in regular pvp, as long as the person against a ninja can steak well/heal pot well/heal spell well, has means to force the ninja to waste a pearl towards them (lightning spell, punch arrows, dmg pots, earth bow, soldier climb, web, circumstantial engi turrets), and they can at least hit you 10% of the time, strafing doesnt even matter, as long as they heal enough to hit you that 10% of the time, ninja loses.

    For you mages btw if u didnt know yet, you can look straight down and lightning to deal 3 hearts of damage + fall damage and knock a ninja back to the shadow realm because lightning has a splash radius greater than your irl waist size, allowing you to heal up, and reset the fight back in your favor.

    I get i'm probably one of the most ninja biased people, but i have a feeling my kdr didnt decrease from 1 to 0.2 just because i suck at pvp or because "people got better".

    the 1v1's depend on the player skill
    take an auto clicking noob like socool for example
    he would win all the match ups against the low armoured classes
    but other people are extremely bad and will not win these match ups
    ninja is not bad u are

    maybe im a bias ninja main but I rlly think ninja needs a sword buff

    that was my score as ninja def in TO vs TC

    n that was my score the next game when I decided I had had enough of ninja and switched classes

    soo I don't rlly think me getting a bad score as ninja is a reflection of my skill level since I got a 43 ks the next game, its more a reflection of the fact ninja defense is weak af. sure, I got more kills with ninja but that was in a 30 minute blackout game. the second screenie is from a 20 minute valley of ruin game

    The ninja rework by @Billhelm, removing the 10 ender pearls and 414, but largely buffing the flash bombs, can not be considered a nerf in that sense but merely a change.
    It focused ninja's role on recovery as multiple pearls at once were only needed for insta-caps; the stronger flashbombs allowed for ninjas to slow down and confuse flag carriers.

    This rework did very well in refocusing ninja's intentional role. The sword nerf, though, again causes many people to play ninja otherwise, completely ruining the point of the rework...?

    So imgonna give yall my thoughts on ninja
    First off Im not an avid ninja but ive @played it before and i can say i really enjoyed it.
    But even so it is a class that seems to be unbalanced. I thought ninja was supposed to be a recovery class but too many times its used to get ez caps. Ghosting and premas once learned are easy methods of capping. I think there needs to be something that you cant take flag unless enderpeael was thrown up to 2 seconds prior. As a defender sometimes payeling aytention to rest of offence I see a ninja at flag. I go to hit him and get him twice but then hes long gone. This works even better when they eggspam the fuq out of u. There needs to b certain egg cooldown. I think the sword is fine and i think the speed is fine. Maybe 1 or 2 peices of leather armour? Defence wise its not gud enough while on off it is more than good. Also too many people try and pvp as ninjas. EXPECT TO DIE! Ninja isnt made to sustain in fights. Its ment for recovery / targeting weak armoured
    classes. Overall ninja is a good class that needs a bit of changing.

    You are saying I have to die when pvping players as ninja? Well, sorry to tell you this but on recovery I kind of have to take my sword and hit players. If you're saying it's mainly meant for weakly armoured classes, what if a heavy steals? Oh um I guess we're just not going to recover then?

    Your solution to ninja is a) nerf capping and b) add armor. Armor for what, to sustain longer in fights, instead of ending fights quicker? That's still not the point of ninja... Except capping gets easier cx

    Im not saying u shouldnt pvp. But most classes with full steak will beat a decent ninja. Id like to increase armour and modify abilitys that make capping easier. More armor will help with recoving and allowing it to have a greater chance when fighting. Def ninja is too weak atm even tho its role is. Intended to be def/recov

    Ninja is not meant to survive long. It's meant to do damage, a lot of damage, quickly. Otherwise I might as well stay heavy for an average damage output and long sustainability.
    Def/Recov obviously was stronger back when sword was stronger, although by far not unkillable (yes, I tested this a few times recently, old ninja is not OP either).
    Why give it armor? We don't want fistfights with diamond armor. https://www.brawl.com/threads/55847/
    Looky here. I don't want to be PvPing for 5 minutes to recover off of a soldier.

    I honestly dont know what the staff was thinking when they decided to nerf ninja's dmg...
    -No armor
    -9 attack dmg which is roughly 4 hearts with no armor
    -it takes extremely long to kill a goddamn chemist now even when it got nerfed
    for christs sake brawl , just buff ninja's sword to sharp 6 and it will be a good class again, you're making every class -except archer mage and medic downright crap

    Ninja doesnt need to be great again. It needs another rework!

    Despite the fact that sharp 4 still takes the same amount of hits to kill a pyro as sharp 5 which was what it was before the current nerf.

    @Sibs I thought pyro was destroying everything else too easily and that's why it got its instakills removed? Now it turns out it had a good counter? Oh no, you needed coordination! Oh no, teamwork required, can't solo the game as buffed heavy.. qq
    CTF is not Kohi, once again. Stuff was apparently just as balanced. But I'm glad we have nerfs ._.

    To buff ninja I think we need to bring back 414ing because, with brawls lag and godly strafes, you will be a very difficult target to hit. Multiple ender pearls is very convenient so I can do more complicated ghosts.
