People are beating down on newer or "uninformed" people's opinions. If you were "educated", you'd know that having a worse gamemode, but having a bigger player-base and more income would be better. How do you get more people to like your server?

    1) Be recognized/Advertise your server (so new players will actually join)
    2) Take opinions from your community (so that players enjoy the game)
    3) Adjust based on what the community wants (so if all the sudden people say let's have archer instakill people at 10 blocks (LOL, please no), they play it a little then realize maybe this was a bad idea and the majority shifts back to wanting it back to normal)

In my opinion making a mistake within the community is better than -
    1) Be recognized/Advertise your server (so new players will join)
    2) Completely ignore all opinions based on what the majority wants (so that brawl keeps it's power and "better" gamemodes)
    3) Don't adjust on what the majority of the community wants (Everyone leaves, because they aren't getting their say and the "better" gamemode is worse or no fun for them)

So you should take ALL opinions whether or not you think they are correct and whether or not you think it's a good idea or not. People will be biased everywhere, so you cannot trust anyone, but is having 6-10 biased mods having their say rather than the entire community being able to give out their opinions, better for everyone? Of course not. Do not judge other's opinions before judging your own. I'd rather have a completely unbalanced gamemode, but have a ton of players playing it, rather than having a perfectly balanced gamemode with 10 players on it.

I've talked with a few people that quit a while back, what was their response to why they quit I barely knew these people I just happened to have them on Skype and talked to them for a bit for yolo's:
Cookiesaur - Quit because no action in the game, I managed to get her on brawl for a bit to test out the new classes and see what has changed, she played 4 games of CTF and I haven't seen her in a week. https://www.brawl.com/MPSStatsCTF.php?player=Cookiesaur
MossTree - Quit to another server, because CTF was too repetitive not enough changes that he liked
StimpyPvP - Played about 56 games on McPvP, but quit because it was too repetitive

That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's others too. I think brawl needs to work on their gamemodes, yes. But balancing it perfectly is not going to happen, rather having new classes balance the older classes is something to think about. If the majority of people are quitting because it's repetitive, change that.

That's the point. He left after a short period of time, because he told me irl that it was too repetitive.

Or it was just not his taste.. That's why the gamemode isn't liked by everyone.. There are enough people who aren't playing just because of the community but because they find it fun, I guess Stimpy didn't like it..?

No, I'm saying that not everything is as nice for everyone, I mean, take a TV series for example, it's all about action, not everyone likes it, but some people do, but do you change it, just because some people don't like it? no, it's supposed to be all about the action!!
