Idea Is Mage OP?

I'd like to refute some things you said, myself being a pretty good mage. First off, mage is not anti-pvp. It is still a player versus a player. There is no getting around that. Second, mage is not used just to be annoying. Some people are better at others than things. I am good at mage so I play mage. I'm not specifically trying to be annoying. I'm being part of the team and playing the game. Third, I target archers because its an op class (depends on which way you want to look at it but it has an instakill. I target classes with instakills because, for example, when I'm protecting a person trying to cap, one shot from a farther distance and they're dead. Its a strategy. Part of the game. I do the same for assassins. But, assassins have a good counter. Block, or hit them when they activate assassinite. Archers, the only counter possible if elf, or another archer unless they're dead already. That's why I kill them, not to be annoying.). Fourth, it has a role, its versatile. Even though its hard, you can cap. You can protect a person trying to cap, and you can defend. Many classes can be played for many things, not just mage. Fifth, you still have to aim when you use the damage spell. While I agree, some mages spam, many actually use different things. Damage is for damage unless you are confused. Other spells are for other purposes, not to do instant damage. Fire is damage over time. Lighting is just a little damage and movement. Sixth, if a mage is pinning you, maybe you just need a better team because a mage doesn't shoot like 5 different directions at once. Just one. There are other spots you can attack a mage. Seventh, its very hard to be a good mage. Its hard to be a good ninja. Its hard to be a good assassin. Its hard to be a good archer. Its hard to be a good chemist. Its hard to be a good elf. Its hard to be a good medic (for many because they never heal or use snowballs terribly). Many of the premium classes, besides campers, are hard to be very good at. You're gonna get people who kill just to kill as mage. You're gonna get people who kill just to kill as archer. You're gonna get people who kill just to kill as assassin. Its part of the game. Not everyone is gonna play the game for the objectives. There will be people who play for the pvp because ctf has an advanced set of classes and there are enough people to get lots of kills during high times. There is no reason to complain about a class just because you don't like it.

Also on a side note, does it really make sense to ruin a class for all the people who are good at mage and who enjoy playing it? Make a class for the active and skilled people, not for the randies.

100% agreed, but for some reason I have an easier time avoiding archers, probably because I played archer so much that i know how many archers play, thats why when i have the flag i dont go in a straight line unless im in cover, I also know how to strafe many archers. Thats the reason why i dont find archer seriously annoying, because I dont die to it as much as other people because i know to always account for archers.

People think mage is so easy because all they imagine is an easy damage spell spam, they dont think of a pro knowing what to do, ninja, assassin, chemist, heavy, etc. An expert mage is very hard to come by, and very hard to kill.

My opinion on this topic is that mage is currently getting better and better as everything around it is getting nerfed and its kit is remaining the same.
